Yawnagawn and Noura's relationship brings me such joy like that is such found family moment. The mother son neither really ever had. Noura who has to stay beaurocratic but so clearly cares deeply for Yawnagawn. Even before we realize how much we see that she sees his full potential, how incredible of an emperor he can be. She begs Adolin to stop training him not just because it's non-traditional, but also because it pushes Yawnagawn to endanger himself. She carries a guilt because they elevated him to emperor because they were all terrified of Szeth coming and killing them. But she doesn't want to protect him because of that guilt, at least that's not the main reason anymore. Noura has grown to care so deeply for Yawnagawn, so much so that she starts crying when Yawnagawn insists on breaking into the Azish palace to try and reclaim the throne. She's a mother watching her little boy grow up so fast, watching him grow beyond the protection she can provide for him.
