“Nohime”
Usually Nobunaga’s wife 濃姫 has been referred to as “Nouhime” のうひめ, with the “long o”. However, the name as written in the Ehon Taikouki and Bushou Kanjouki 武将感状記 actually had the furigana reading of “Nohime” のひめ with a “short o” sound. Those two texts were believed to be the very origin of this name, so their reading should be authoritative here.
That “no” 濃 kanji also happens to also be the same -no of Mino province, which has always been read with a short o. Some text analysts also have noted that 濃 is a valid kanji version of the “no” の particle (usually written in hiragana in modern day), which is sometimes seen in Sengoku letters, so either way “Nohime” appears to have been the most appropriate reading.
I’m curious why people thought it was read “Nou” with the long-o sound for so long if the furigana has always existed clearly in print. Perhaps it’s done by people who did not have access to the old texts mentioned earlier, and made wrong assumptions.
With this knowledge, I'm going to switch how I refer to her name from now on. Unfortunately, it’s not going to be easy to edit the tags. While I sometimes use both names in the tags to cover my bases, I sometimes forgot and only use the “Nouhime” name in the tag.

Chousokabe Motochika: Cold type, ice runs through their veins, If your heart is actually another backup brain he will be head over heels. Mouri Motonari: Naive type, just be stupid and too good to be true alright? strong bodybuild is a plus, just in case ... Tokugawa Ieyasu: Savage type, with anger issues, ready to bite anytime, but still good deep inside okay? Ishida Mitsunari: Hideyoshi type? or probably Hanbei, If you can't be them just love these two !! Maeda Keiji: Litterally everyone! or probably milfs, could be dilfs too you never know ... Kasuga: Just a wise sophisticated type, you know who I am talking about. Takeda Shingen: Shorter slim type, who can still beat him! Uesugi Kenshin:The 'Please Notice me senpai' type, fragile deep inside, he will adopt you. Oda Nobunaga: Immortal masochist type? yeah because God knows how many times he will shoot you in the head or stab you in the heart ... Akeshi Mitsuhide: Definietely a sadist type, or someone who will make him suffer in general ... Nouhime: Complicated type, her time is too precious to waste on simple people! Mori Ranmaru: Let's say cute type for this one who can still kick his ass. Shimazu Yoshihiro: Outalwas Rebelious type, pssst he is a closeted pervert ... PS: -First, these are practically my nonsensical hcs, If you don't agree please remember I am throwing random bs or just pretend you didn't see. -And second, you never know, there might be a second part for the others!
