1. What is a book that you wish you could read over for the first time, as if you’ve never read it before, and why? I’m going to cheat a little and say the entire Lymond Chronicles series because there were so many shocking twists. All those nights of reading till 3am and gasping when certain things happened! That series really shocked the hell out of me so many times. I’d love to be able to experience that complete surprise all over again. Also, I want the pleasure of getting to know Lymond again. Gosh, what an amazing character.

2. What would your perfect day consist of? This is an expensive perfect day, but mine would be spending a day in some European city and just all-out exploring for the entire day. Seeing new things, eating new foods, talking to locals, going to castles, shopping. All of it. And I would be happy with seeing any of these places: Venice, Paris, Prague, London, Dublin, anywhere in Scotland. Someone please just take me somewhere!

3. What is one thing that you haven’t learned to do yet but you really want to? I’ve been trying to learn website design for over a decade now! I keep trying and failing. All of that coding is hard for me. My brain doesn’t work that way. I wish it would just “click” for me.

4. Cat or dog? And what kind. Cat! My dad was always a cat lover, so I grew up with cats around when I was little. The kind doesn’t matter to me. I love cats. They're so quirky.

5. What is your go to comfort food? BROWNIES. The fudgier the better.

6. You’ve been out of town for months, what’s the first place you go when you get home and settled? The beach just before dusk when it’s quiet and there aren’t many people around. I grew up in Florida and the beach calms me.

7. You’re given an unlimited supply of money, what is the first thing you splurge on for yourself? A small, cute house in the Pacific Northwest, either around Portland or Seattle. 

8. You land your dream job, what is it? Editor at a publishing company. *sigh*

9. You have the chance to either meet and hang out for a while weekend with your favorite celebrity, but you’re not allowed to take pictures and you have no memory of it or get a get a picture and 5 minutes of their time. Which would you choose? Ahh, I don’t know! Despite being a fan of many things, I don’t get all in to celebrities like I used to. I guess I would choose to get a picture and 5 minutes of their time. That works for me because my celeb of choice would probably be Tim Rice-Oxley of Keane, and all I would like to do is tell him that his music has meant a lot to me over the last decade. I could definitely accomplish that in 5 minutes.

10. Do you honestly think you would be able to go “off-grid” and live without electronics for one year? (you would still have electricity, just no phone, computer, or tv) My first thought was, “Of course I could do it!” I can live without social media because I’m not on it that much anyway (she says on Tumblr, haha). I would greatly miss TV. I would miss my Kindle but I’d be ok as long as I still had books. The hardest for me would be living without my computer and my phone. As a writer, my computer is really important to me. It already has all of my writing projects on it, so going back to writing by hand would be hard. I’d die without my phone simply because my best friend and I text off and on all day, every day. I don’t know. When I really think about it, I don’t think I could do it.

11. What is your next milestone birthday and what is one thing you would like to accomplish before then? Oh God. My next big milestone birthday is when I turn 30… *gulp* next year. And what don’t I want to accomplish by then?! There are so many things. But I guess the most important thing to me is to finish writing a book that I’m actually satisfied with and/or have something, even a small short story, published. Unlikely, but a girl can dream.
