The sorceress tried extremely hard not to talk about things in her past--especially things that would paint her in a light where someone might pity her--so why she was opening up now, to Istredd, she had no idea. At the same time, it was something that had been plaguing her as of late and who better than Istredd, who had known her before her transformation?
“She made me feel like I was the exact disgusting and pitiful creature that she had once loved. You were the one that helped me to see the real girl inside.” In more ways than one, but she had long forgiven him for anything he might have done that hurt her. The same way she hoped that he had forgiven her for the horrible things she had said and done to him. Part of hurting each other had helped them to GROW, but it didn’t make it hurt LESS. “I’m hard on the people that I care about...but I never want to become my mother.” In fact if someone so much as touched a hair on Ciri’s head in any negative way, Yennefer would kill them. “You know that I care about you...don’t you?”
