You're welcome :). That's annoying, I'm always surprised by how long it takes for things to get from the UK to Europe, even compared to the US or Australia. Thankfully I managed to buy my copy in a music shop here as they had one copy. I would have pre-ordered it but even in the UK you don't always get it on the actual day it's released so mostly I don't bother unless I know I can only buy something online. It's definitely better to have a physical copy of something, especially as folk musicians always seem to know the value of knowing all the lyrics and and any stories or history behind the song. I'm glad they still do CDs as well.
The long wait is mostly caused by our postal service having to charge import taxes. The taxes themselves aren't bad, but they charge 18 pounds extra for the benefit of them delivering your package awfully slow. I've even tried having them send the package back because I didn't pay in time, because they didn't deliver the letter, saying I had to pay, within the timeframe they gave me. So I'm with you there - mostly not buying online - if I can avoid it. Didn't know I'd be going to a live show when I placed this pre-order though. They really do, and it makes the new music even more exciting to me :)
