               not  many  people  know,  and  he  certainly  does  his  best  not  to  let  on,  but  aziraphale  gets  .  .  .  well,  antsy  when  crowley  is  away.   it  had  taken  him  WEEKS  when  adam  was  a  toddler  to  go  a  day  on  his  own  without  calling  the  demon  incessantly  to  ask  how  to  hold  the  child,  what  it  likes  to  eat  ---  took  him  even  longer  to  learn  that  babies  aren’t  even  supposed  to  be  referred  to  as  IT,  which  makes  very  little  sense  since  babies  don’t  even  have  the  mind  to  know  what,  other  than  an  IT,  they  are.

                now  the  boy  is  ten  ---  good  lord,  nearly  eleven  ---  and  always  in  search  of  new  adventures,  and  frankly  aziraphale  just  doesn’t  have  the  boundless  imagination  that  crowley  does  to  provide  that  kind  of  daily  excitement.   so  what  does  he  do  to  make  up  for  it  when  he’s  left  on  his  own?   he  provides  SNACKS.   lots  and  lots  and  lots  of  snacks.   after  all,  it  is  rather  adventurous  to  have  popcorn  for  breakfast,  isn’t  it?  

“Now that the world is completely saved, I’m just saying that we could go to the aquarium.  You like whales, yeah?”

            your eyes scan over the child. it’s hard to believe that you managed to lose this child almost a decade earlier. perhaps it was for the best, the youngs have raised a good boy, a smart boy, a happy boy. there’s pride in your eyes and heart, as you look at the curls of his hair. he looks like his biological father, the beauty that lucifer had once had as the angel of light. before he had taken the plunge to earth and cracked his halo into horns. 

            adam can do with reality what he likes, including changing the path of the divine plan. because despite the angel’s insistence that it was the original plan after all. you know these changes are adam’s choice, not g-d herself’s and that makes them all the more important to you. now you have, eleven years of cool demon godfather/uncle business to catch up on.

“If you think that little miracle was amazing-- just you wait.” He fished in a few pockets, trying to find that blasted coin he was carrying for just such an occasion. Adam had-- against Crowley’s desperate pleas not to-- decided to entertain Aziraphale’s attempts at slight of hand magic.

What harm could it do?

“Ah! Here it is! Tricky little bugger. Now then-- keep your eye on the coin!” He held it aloft, wiggling it in the air between two fingers before [very obviously] palming it into his other hand. The angel then held the coinless hand up, as if he still had something within it, beaming.

technically NOT pathfinder art so it doesn’t go my art blog but technically IS pathfinder art because it’s based on the fact that he got kicked out of the party for “being evil” and now i wanna start a fierce propaganda war to prove that he is NOT EVIL - starting with fabulous crop tops to show of your sick body and show everyone you can’t be evil when you look this... good? I’ll go with “good.”
