RPG Maker Zine has left the purchase period and is now available to read for free! It's non profit zine containing over 80 pages of art by 70+ contributors for classic games, newer titles, and more niche releases!

Okay, I know I’ve been saying I’m an Alice in Wonderland stan for years now but I’m actually extremely picky with which interpretations of the material I enjoy 😂

I generally don’t like adaptations of the original novels. I tend to favor fairy tale media or original stories that have Alice in Wonderland motifs, references, or vibes.

Here’s some stuff I like:

Twisted Wonderland (… You know all too well what Twst is…)

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll (Yup, the OG)

Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There by Lewis Carroll (The OG’s follow-up)

Heartless by Marissa Meyer (Novel that follows the Queen of Hearts and how she came to be the cruel tyrant we currently know her to be)

A Face like Glass by Frances Hardinge (The furthest away from AiW but feels similar, as the story centers around a young girl navigating a magical underground city full of secrets and riddles)

Taisho Alice (A dating sim featuring genderbent versions of fairy tale characters; Ortho’s VA actually voices Snow White! Alice is romanceable too; he’s one of my favorites!! Listen to his cute song :3c Please mind the age rating and content warnings if you decide to look this game up!!)

Ever After High (A fashion doll line with a tie-in book series and animated shorts; the children of famous storybook characters attend a school that prepares them to become the next iteration of their parents’ tales. Trouble brews when the daughter of the Evil Queen rejects her destiny, causing others to start questioning their own fairy tale destinies. There is a group of AiW inspired characters included in the cast, of course!)

Alicemare (A RPG Maker horror game! A group of children are taken in by a kind teacher… One night, the kids find themselves trapped in a strange world and must find their way home.)

[REDACTED] (actual name of the place censored, as I don’t want to doxx myself; it’s an AiW themed afternoon tea place :DD very tasty and a great photo shoot location for Twst plushies www)

Maliss/MⱯLICE (Ｍ∀ＬＩＣＥ/マリス/Marisu) series (YuGiOh Dark Cyberverse card archetype; I don’t play the game or collect cards at all but I do watch the anime here and there 💦 THE CARD ART IS TOO CUTE… You must appreciate them… C O M E, L O O K…)

I used my finger for all of this. The hello charlotte one is more of a collage cuz for most of it i took pictures of the irl stuff from google and just played around with it. And the hands representing seth were taken from a friend of mine. I think the only thing i actually drew myself were the hairs and puppet strings. I remember the first 2 i turned into stickers and the last 3 I wanted to put into a zine for a school project but It never got made ;;
