i've noticed that every fall since first reading the webcomic back in late 2017, i've gotten back into homestuck! usually it's been because of the amazing fancreations like @phemiec's fansongs! i really hope you see and enjoy this! it's not perfect, but i love both computer music making and homestuck and this combined the two!

I made a funny little piece for my Project Rainbow Swans au
This is basically what plays when the social studies classes go to the Rainbow Swan factory field trip and enter the building. The beginning is basically Aiden telling Ashlyn how excited she'll be to see the inside, and she's like, "Bitch why would I be interested in how crayons are made" (not those words exact, but she has a rude tone to her voice since she doesn't necessarily care about how colors are made, only just using them to paint....). Then the doors open, and the inside of the factory is shown.
Colors everywhere, pumps pushing color into these big metal containers, the environment is friendly and lively.
Then, Daniel appears high and above in a nice suit.
"Welcome to the Rainbow Swan Factory!!"
(They took a field trip to it because the social studies classes were currently learning about business, and what better way to teach it than with the current new business in their town?)
While Ashlyn walks with the group, Ben follows close behind, keeping his eyes on her.
And at the end of the song, Daniel is just hugging Aiden close by his side as he cheerfully bids the students farewell as he passes the spotlight to someone else to show them around.
(Song beginning was supposed to parody the RF song....but I failed LMAO)
Day 1 of a week-long quarantine (because one of my coworkers tested positive for COVID-19 a few days ago). As of now Iām physically fine, no symptoms or anything, and all my lessons/classes/rehearsals are either online already or easily moved online.
Working on my first big Orchestration and Arranging assignment - transcribing some of Beethovenās Eroica. Iām on Noteflight since I donāt have a computer that runs Finale and canāt go to school right now to use the computers there...
Only 12 days left to sign up for Music Theory lessons! Today, I thought Iād share my high school introduction to music theory final project - the absolute Doctor Who dork that I was in 2014. I think it was around the time when Matt Smith was leaving and Peter Capaldi was slated to be the next doctor. And I was in love with the theme āThis is Gallifreyā and decided to arrange it for flute, cello and pianoš I originally notated all of this on NoteFlight, but the file I submitted the assignment is compatible with MuseScore (which I currently use). I think the midi instruments may have been slightly worse back then as my disclaimer āthese electronic instruments sound like pooā but theyāre not much better on MuseScoreš The final product was 12 pages and 72 measures. Looking back some of the notation could definitely be rewritten/restructured, but I think the amount of time I had put into this arrangement several years ago gives it an endearing quality. #doctorwho #thisisgallifrey #arrangement #musictheory #composition #flute #k313 #piano #cello #musescore #noteflight #musiceducator #musicmajor https://www.instagram.com/p/CBNzsEpgMdS/?igshid=1wgyocslpa7mn

So I work with music, yeah? I have a Noteflight premium, I transpose stuff. I think I made something that would make Golden Age musical theatre fans giddy, maybe Queen fans too, but more likely cry.
This is all an anti-climatic build-up to say I arranged a barbershop quartet version ofĀ āDreamerās Ballā. And it sounds good.
