I have this 'thing' for strong female characters who are emotionall fucked up and aren't afriad to cry and push everyone away violently. Ones who are hated by most everyone in their given canon, yet tend to be my favorite. I can't say I identify wholly, I am anything but emotional, but they are the most compelling and complex things to me, and Regina is just such a beautiful character. I made her on a whim and never intended to stick with her, but that was almost two years ago and whOOps.

           for one night, and one night alone she relinquished control, too weary, too broken with grief to pretend strength. and so with unbidden emotion sheleaned into his touch. a breath escaping her lips as eyesfluttered shut. the strength of his arm harkening to anotherwho had once held her close and assured her of safety. yetthat man had lied to her, and worse than that? he had neverreally meant a word of it. for some lies are meant well, butlies all the same. yet her husband had sworn her and herchildren would be safe, and yet he had been the biggestthreat to them both.    there was little doubt this man lied, but yet perhapshis were the lies with good intentions. and so for tonightshe would lean against his warmth, and allow his hands to roam her body, because she could feel nothing. numb.      as the fabric slipped from her body, she embraced thechill that seeped into her very bones. the cold air hitting herskin and sending a shiver through her, but soon his touchdrowned out the madness within her mind and the numbnessthat choked out sane thought. because in that moment it wassimply easier to just feel.
