Marina stood there in shock a moment, still wrapped in his arms. “Uhm...it’s...it’s okay” she spoke, still shocked he had kissed her. She pushed some of her hair out her face but as usual it only fell back. “What was that for?”

                   he’s--- charming? at the moment avery’s head is pounding so much she can’t really remember what he’s like, let alone his name. but he’s been talking to her and getting her drinks, being nice--- enough that the general unease that twists up in her stomach when she’s alone with boys she doesn’t know is gone. amusement and--- something else are in its place instead. the other feeling is gratefulness, apparently, because the next time maybe charming boy walks around with a cup avery reaches up on her tiptoes to kiss him while he’s talking. she leans down after a moment, blinking as a wave of bafflement hits her. what had she?--- right. “thanks.” she takes the cup, smiling back up at him.
