It had been one of those days. One of those god awful ones that lead to drinking an entire bottle of tequila. That was the kind of day Lewis was having. First, his story on the waste dumping was taken and given to some new kid. Then, he lost his lead on a story involving a string of robberies around town, and he tried to get it back. He tried desperately, but his source disappeared without so much as a fuck off. A deep sigh escaped him as he perched himself up on the bar stool. God, he needed every drink he could order at that moment.
As the bartender approached, he spoke.Ā āShots of something strong, and keep them coming.ā He ordered out with a cheeky smile. The man behind the counter nodded and slammed a glass on the bar and began filling. As quick as it was filled, he would down it. This was a repetitive process for a good few minutes. Lewis was done with today, and he wanted to forget every little thing. Around shot 5 or 6, he saw a man approaching and turned to stare at him. āWell, hello there.āā It took him a moment to realize who it was. It was Bruce Wayne in all of his dark and handsome glory. āCare for a drink?ā He chirped out smiling barely tipsy. It paid to be an army brat when it came to shots, or any alcohol for that matter.
