Yesterday was absolutely EPIC. It is always double-fun when you can share fan-girling experiences with friends, so me and @daragoldfitz had a blast hanging out with BAEs, and more than we expected to!

We first got tickets to The View when it was announced that Kerry would go there. Kerry switched things around last minute, and decided to go to Kelly and Ryan (or whatever that show is called). Dara got the tickets there for us last minute, and we should up super early (unreasonably early!) and stood outside for what seemed like hours waiting to get in (I just hate standing in lines, so I had very little patience for that). 

We finally got in, say down, and the recording started. It is always fun to watch how the live show is being recorded. Then before too long, Kerry comes on. 

They are chatting, and laughing and it is cool to see her and we are excited. Then a few minutes in, they start prepping for a game. Look at this MOFOs face, she KNEW we would all freak the F out!! 

(I think up here ^^ Ryan is explaining the rules, and Kerry is pumping up the audience). Then she starts saying that she needs another person on her team (since Kelly and Ryan are playing together), and that then announces that she asked “pretend Potus” to come in. I swear it took me a couple f seconds to connect in my head that she meant Tony. And then I remember turning to Dara and saying no way!

But sure enough, we watch on as Tony strolls in. We just SCREAMED. I am not even sure what Dara was doing, but I was almost knocked out of my chair :-))) It was the BEST. SURPRISE. EVER!!!!!!!!!!

I could see that both Kelly and Ryan were surprised too, so that’s neat what Kerry and Tony did :-))

Above here Kerry as you can see have lost her shoes (she did say prior to the game starting and Tony showing up that it is slippery on the floor in heels). And here she is reminding him that they came to WIN :-))))

The game was HILARIOUS, though Kerry can’t draw for life, LOL. They were so CUTE and cuddly and funny and Terry together, we kept on turning to each other with Dara and saying “OMGOOOOD”.

Terry won of course (duh!), Tony keeps his eyes on his real PRIZE though :P

I very vaguely remember the end of the show because we were just floating on cloud 9 and still in disbelief. I can’t remember when T&K even came to the show together, just them?

Fat-forward to the evening and standing in another line (to get into Paley now), here we are, excited for more Terry :-)

We had to suffer through 2 hours of Scandal before panel began (I won't go into details, but I am very happy I stopped watching the show and only follow through Tumblr to keep up with cute Olitz moments)...

We had a good seat (1st row!) but kind of to the side. I wish we were a bit more central, though it was still a bit surreal to sit SO CLOSE to them :)

I liked the panel, that everyone got to talk a little bit, and I thought the moderator did a good job preparing. I wish Tony/Kerry talked more, and the panel was longer. But they had to go live tweet and I bet they (especially T&K) were exhausted after this CRAZY week of promoting the finale, so I am glad we got to listen to them for as long as they could stay!

We finished the evening with more friends and sharing our impressions and views on the show that we don't watch, HA.

@loveistheessenceoflife @drifting-ona-memory it’s Kerry and Nnamdi, only she hasn’t married him yet, and Sam owns Cait’s “old” apartment. Not sure if Tony G ever went that far.

Well allegedly Kerry lived at the Goldwyn estate in Beverly Hills before the family sold it after Tony’s father died a few years back... and according to entylawyer, she’s staying at Tony’s NYC apartment while they both currently star on Broadway at the very same time, less than a year after their series ended.

I’m not her publicist(s) – I don’t know what her plan is.

But generally speaking, no it’snot going to ruin her reputation. Celebrities lie all the time to protect theirpersonal lives – I have said this before. This is not new or exclusive to KW.Depending upon the narrative her team chooses, no one will ever really knowwhat was fake anyway or it can be spun into the lengths celebs will go to protecttheir families in an increasingly digital world where its very easy for evennon-famous people to have their privacy invaded (see: Cambridge Analytica &Russia), etc etc.

The media will not want to loseaccess to KW but even more so her very powerful publicity team & the OTHERcelebrities they rep who are MUCH more A List than she (trust me on this), so thevast majority of relevant media will simply play ball. Talent publicists thispowerful can, for example, refuse to offer specific outlets interviews with anyof their clients if they don’t fall in line, and they can tell their colleagueswith equally A List clientele to do the same.  They can then hoard said power over theoutlets – “I gave you that exclusive on X, you owe me with this story on Y” –to get the kind of favorable coverage they want – whether its painting the truthin a more positive light or running a lie to protect the truth (or acombination of the two).

As long as a celeb is profitable & not garneringnegative media attention, they will continue to get work – and KW is movingbeyond JUST acting to producing and directing, which means she doesn’t need tobe as public facing and can go back to leading a more private life anyway. In addition, TG is from aniconic HW family and that itself matters in how this story will and does playout, especially considering how many people in the industry likely already knowthe truth or some semblance of it. 

Hi nonnie - i try to keep up & check @jamesandclairefraser’s blog but I’m often playing catch up so I’m fuzzy on a lot of specifics. Most of the shots I saw of her left hand last night conveniently were covered by watermarks or her other hand, so no obvious shot of an engagement ring. 

But YES celebs lie/fake things all the time, as I’ve mentioned before (check my tags!) I don’t think (yet) that is what Cait is doing - but Sunday will tell the tale, IMO. As a publicist, I can’t help but think the red carpet is the perfect subtle reveal for an engagement ring… 

My professional perspective is Sam & Cait don’t need to confirm anything for any of us. Celebs don’t have to be straightforward if they (or their teams) feel the truth is bad for their brand or business. The most obvious recent example for me of this, as I’ve mentioned before, is Tony & Kerry on Scandal, life imitating art imitating life a little too closely - but that’s a whole other story in a whole other fandom, so just check my tags on that too. 

Supporting someone’s work does NOT give you the right to know who they are dating. Many fans are bizarrely grandiose about their importance to a celebrity’s success yet while a celeb can have all the fans in the world, if people in power don’t want to hire or work with that celeb, those fans mean shit. That’s why celebs often will fake or lie about anything from their age to who they are sleeping with. Its a matter of survival and its as old as Hollywood itself, which the #metoo movement makes perfectly clear I think. 

It appears to me this is the attitude that Sam and Cait have adopted, which I get rubs a lot of shippers the wrong way. But their careers are just getting started and whether they’re together or with other people they have every right to protect those careers as much as their private lives. They’d have no idea that liking shipper tweets or anti tweets means to us they’re taking sides or leading people on - no offense guys, but celebs don’t follow fans like that, they don’t have the time to nor do they care to search mentions and timelines and blogs. And Sam & Cait are newbies to the industry navigating this whole fame thing - they’re not going to ice William Shatner for “bullying” fans because they’re not reading his timeline and every tweet he or anyone else sends. They don’t have time for that - they’re busy actors!! To them, he’s just William fucking Shatner, an industry legend, and they will be respectful.
