Okay, I think I got some more ideas together about series 11.
There just wasn’t enough conflict. Not enough between characters, not enough in the stories themselves. I’m not saying I want companions just fighting all the time. But they need to make choices, and those choices need to have consequences. Even in the finale, the Doctor and Graham finally did have some conflict. But...? It only really mattered for one conversation and then Graham just ultimately went “you know what, the Doctor’s right”. Like...I want something deeper. Like a “Doctor, you know that killing a murderer doesn’t make me as bad as him” and then she could argue against that. And then more things could happen, which leads to that question coming up again and again. Then the end could be the same, but it would feel so, SO different.
