Guys
my mother said
she was okay with me not going to college
today she sees this really young pregnant girl
and told me that this is what I'm going to end up as if I don't go to college
I was like "Mother, didn't you say that it was okay?"
"Yeah, but I thought about it, and you're going."
Then I told her I'd just leave, JOKINGLY, and omg shit went down
not really, she just kind of did the *you're cray cray I will beat you while you fill out those college application* face
Whatever, I'm still not going.
by the way my mother never has nor will ever beat me
Classes....Cancelled?
Nope.
Wait, I'm going to Rome?
So if I didn't notice some indiscrepancies about my schedule this semester, the paralegal students going to Rome in May would be wondering where I was, come the day of departure. Yes, it's true, I feel like I got some horrible joke played on me. Come to find out, Comparative Roman Law, the class I thought I was registered for is supplemented by a trip to Rome in the spring. Of course I thought about going, but that little dream of mine was quickly squashed by the mounds of students loans hanging in my face. I would think about it and actually laugh to myself. Like "Yeah RIGHT, Leah. Don't even tempt your little mind with imagining how great it could be." So back in November I told my advisor to register me for the class, but the trip would have to wait. A long time. But, come to find out, last night, the day before my class is supposed to start, I realized she did the opposite. She registered me for the trip and not the class. For a split second, I thought I could just take her honest mistake as a sign from God that I'm meant to be in Italy in May. Just maybe that was the case, you know? But no, I came back to reality (I hate reality) and I asked her to take me off the roster for the trip and register me for the class. So, yeah tonight in class I had to deal with her telling me how great of an experience the trip is and how I should really still think about going. Mmmhmm. That's the last thing I need to hear.
Oh. And here's the kicker. On the way home I call my friend, who's at school on Boston, and the first thing she says? "I'm going to Italy for two weeks in May!!"
WHAT.
