Hiiiya! General Info: Yesss, all of the codes on my CodePen that don't have do not use in their name are free to use (and the Do Not Use ones are mainly just WIPs/unfinished and will be available at some point I'm just slow haha) However, just for some clarity: all of the codes that have woo.de in their name are made specifically for this site (go check it out if you're a German Percy Jackson fan!!! <3), which is why I usually don't annotate or post them on Tumblr. They are still free to use, but they're usually made with a specific project or something else in mind and I simply tend to just not feel like making another annotated template version, which is why they aren't posted on here!

But you can ofc totally use this code (or any other woo.de code if you want one of those). I'd actually love it if you did, not gatekeeping here (trust me if I wanted to I'd just private the code so dw about using codes on my codePen <3)! Just remember that there aren't any little pieces of advice scattered throughout the code to help with editing because I originally made it for my club, and my brain chaos makes sense to me without annotations haha - this could make editing a bit more complicated

Back when I made this code I was lazy af, meaning this code originally had a pretty weird structure because it was 3 am and I decided I wasn't in the mood for anything JS-related, so I just ignored its entire existence lmao I've quickly fixed that after ur question tho (which is why I'm only answering now, sorry bout that)! This is a new version of the code with a much better and cleaner structure, making it wayyyy easier to edit without changing anything about the look of the code. Hi! Not a new code, and not a nice topic either, sorry about that, but I am incredibly frustrated rn and need to get this off my chest: If you see translated or eerily similar versions of OC-related codes of mine on other WoX-sites, please tell me. And to everybody that feels like this could be about them: Please, PLEASE stop using the stuff I wrote about my WoX OCs as if it comes with the code. It doesn’t. I thought adding a note about this to my terms of use and the codes would be enough, but it has happened again and again throughout my coding journey and it is currently genuinely really draining me and making me enjoy coding less and less. I don't want to sound rude, lash out or hurt anyone's feelings or anything along those lines, but I'm at a loss on what to do here, which is why I am making this post - I just want to add this to my terms of use since it is really important to me and clear up some possible miscommunication.

SO! Please don’t: a) take a code from my CodePen, translate the German content into another language but change nothing about the OC and upload it to another version of that WoX site b) copy and paste an edited version of a code of mine from another person’s CodePen and “borrow” traits or aesthetics from their character by keeping parts of their version, those are their creations, don’t do that c) use a backstory (or any type of text, really) I’ve written, keep most the wording/jokes/rough plotline, and just change names or small details to fit your character (d) do any of this again if I’ve already contacted you about it before and asked you nicely to please stop??? dude???) e) do anything else that you think could be part of this list

This being said: Being inspired by something is fine, everyone does that imo, we can’t NOT be inspired by something at this point due to naturally (!!!) being influenced by so much input from others around us, especially in creative spaces. I get a lot of inspiration from Pinterest, movies, and music (and sometimes even tiktok lol), for example and some of my WoX OCs are most definitely based on cool book or movie characters! But copying, especially on websites that promote creative writing, is like- not okay.

Maybe I am partly at fault here because I haven't communicated well enough, so I am trying to explain my thought process one last time: Yes, some of my codes include content about specific WoX characters of mine (or sometimes WoX OCs that were made by friends of mine which I made a code for, which is even worse imo because I love my friends and their OCs a lot and don't want them to feel bad), but that doesn’t mean that you can use that content - it serves as a placeholder, and I am really sorry if I didn't communicate that well enough. But I provide coding, not WoX characters (though if you want to hear about my 1000 ideas for WoX OCs just hit me up lmao i’d love to yap about it with u). The only reason why I sometimes share those codes without switching out the theme first is me being lazy af - changing the theme to something more neutral can be really time-consuming and if I’m really excited to share a code with you guys, I just upload it as is and expect everyone to only use the code, not the character. This is also why some of my codes are only uploaded to CodePen and not to tumblr: Because I am simply too lazy to change the theme or annotate at the moment. The code is still free to use, it is just not up to my standards that I have for tumblr. But that doesn’t mean that my rules don’t apply, those OCs are still my dudes and the written content is still written by and for me and only me.

If this happens again and now that I've explained myself once more, I’m prepared to block specific people or take my codes down, because this is really affecting me negatively atp and I’d really, really love to get back into coding, since I DO adore both being creative and this absolutely amazing community Ty and much love! I am currently working on some stuff whenever I have the time, so new and/or updated codes might be incoming sooner than later <3

long overdue pinned introduction post my guys - actually, i just had a few things on my mind that i wanted to clarify once and for all instead of mentioning them in every single post all over and over again! also, i love to yap. so here is a lot, like, a lot of yapping.

who am i? My name is Mika (though most people on wox call me Zeke due to my main WoO DE character Izekiel - that name stuck :'))! I go by she/her, live in Germany and I have been on WoX for a bit longer than two years now - I've just started coding a few months ago after learning the basics by editing templates. I'm mainly active on WoO sites, namely DE and EU. go check those sites out, they are amazing and have lovely communities! Besides WoX I am interested in everything Dungeons and Dragons, fashion and art. I'm also a university student, which means I have a lot of time on my hands (outside of exam season 😔✋) which i usually spend writing and coding! if you have any questions regarding codes or just want to yap, you can always DM me on tumblr. Terms of Use: My codes are free to use for everybody - I'm currently not planning on changing anything about that as long as everybody follows the few rules I have: - keep the credits. like. keep them, don't change anything, don't make addition to them. you are free to change the font and colour to match the aesthetic of your version of the code, however, leave them at least as visible as they originally were and don't change anything about their position. if u accidentally remove or break the credits and can't fix them by yourself, feel free to text me, i'll help u put them back. - you are allowed to edit and evolve my codes, slightly, heavily, i don't care, just leave my credits and don't pass them off as your own codes. - if you find a code of mine on the CodePen of another WoX user, don't just copy their version of the code. instead, click on the credits, go to my codepen, copy the template version. even just editing a code takes time, don't copy off of others! happened one to many times by now and i do not like that, originality and creativity is important to me - and we are all part of a creative writing community, aren't we? - same goes for codes of mine that i've made for specific characters of mine: The code does not come with the OC. You are NOT allowed to use and/or translate what I wrote about my character, don't keep the name, faceclaim and everything about my character, change a few things and create that character on another wox site. As you can see: I will figure it out at some point and I do not like that. I'm usually pretty chill, but if something like that happens again, I have no issue with banning specific people from using my codes or taking all of my stuff down altogether.

lil coding faq: Just stuff that i usually mention in my posts about my codes that I'm slowly but surely getting sick of repeating every time (I'm lazy </3). Editing: I use Pinterest for the images in my template posts. all images belong to their rightful owners. the transparent backgrounds for my decorative pngs are achieved by using a background remover - this is the website i'm using: Remove Background from Image for Free – remove.bg. just throw your image into the background remover and reupload the new version on an image hosting website! the spotify players embedded into my codes are made with, you guessed it, spotify. quick tutorial on how to add spotify songs: go to the spotify website, pick out your song, click on share and "embed song". pick "compact" for the size and then copy! afterwards, just delete the song that i embedded beforehand (make sure to delete everything from<iframe> to </iframe>) and paste your song in! i use CDNFonts: Free Desktop & WebFonts [BETA] for my fonts.

common problems: The code broke during uploading: if your code looks different after you upload it on site, you can always text me. However, I recommend reuploading it WITHOUT leaving the source tab first. Just paste the code in and save straightaway without looking at it in the preview tab. Checking it first tends to break the code, WoX is weird about that. if it's still broken after that, hit me up, i'll take a look at it!

The wallpost has some weird spacing once uploaded on site: Wallposts on WoX don't differentiate between <br> and actual breaks in your text - every other type of wox code does. Make sure that your wallpost is ONE line of code or else every break in the code is a break in the wallpost, leading to weird spacing.

My wallpost looks weird in CodePen: Yeah they just do that. my preview vid for wallposts is ALWAYS the version of them posted on site but they might look a bit weird in codePen. If you are unsure about how your code actually looks, just post it on WoX rq, look at it and delete it right after. i promise, no one will see it if you do it fast enough.

Requests: you can always request codes! if you have any ideas or wishes, hit me up, i love getting inspiration from people! same goes for requests for matching backstories to pts and vice versa, just tell me if you are in need of something. i might have some questions when it comes to your vision but i'm totally open to getting some inspo from you guys! When it comes to commissions - I'm a beginner, so I'd feel like I'm ripping you off if I'd actually take money from you for my codes. So yeah, no commission form. If you actually want me to make you a code just for yourself and based on your own wishes, you can text me and we can talk about it, but I'm just a beginner, please don't forget that!

CodePen: I have a CodePen with codes not uploaded on tumblr on them. All codes that are uploaded are free to use - the ones not uploaded on tumblr just might not be perfect since they're my first codes ever. Part of the journey. But like- a bad part of the journey lol. I'm currently working on fixing those codes and uploading them - if you want to use one of them, feel free to tell me which one so I can prioritize it while reworking those codes! If you see a code with woo.de (or something similar in the title), you can use that code, idc, but I probably won't upload them on tumblr and they might be fully in german. i'm not fixing/reworking those codes since they were made for specific things on wox like specific books or clubs and articles for my hoh job.
