i have SO much more to say about lucas and how dirty stranger things has done him (as well as billy's abusive behaviour towards him and max being pretty much forgotten) but i really don't have the energy to get into fandom arguments, especially when the show is literally out tomorrow. it's so frustrating to think about.
i just hope that lucas' story doesn't entirely revolve around max and her grief for billy. i love max and i'm glad she's getting focused on, but lucas doesn't deserve to be a prop character yet again. if we have to focus on billy in s4, then i want to know how lucas feels how billy's behaviour affected him (since he was one of billy's main targets in s2 and the duffer brothers confirmed it was racially motivated)... but i seriously doubt that will happen.
i also hope that max's grief is portrayed to be complex and nuanced, e.g. she's traumatized and misses her brother but the writing still acknowledges that billy was awful to her (as well as lucas) and they were never that close. it would be better if billy's behaviour towards her and lucas is at least touched upon. i know sadie will give a killer performance but it's the (lack of) acknowledgement of billy's abuse in the script that i'm worried about.

The Mock-up Is Done!!!!
It has taken about half a month to do, but now its over! I was right, the sleeves were the worst part. Not only are sleeve holes an absolute pain, but there were so many pieces that had to be put together. But now that we've done it once, it should be easy to do on the real one.
Now that we've done the mock up all that's left is the actual coat, no biggie.
Next step - cut out pattern pieces and plan out embroidery (also buy embroidery thread)
