1. why did you pick their name? (Also asked by @norton7)

Kathrine Anne "Katie" Shepard Hackett: Katie is one of my favorite names. Don't really remember why I picked that particular spelling; Anne was because it went well with Kathrine.

Rebekah Leigh "Bex" Shepard: I had a story idea and was looking for an appropriately quirky name. Nameberry had a list of quirky nicknames for girls, Bex being among them. I've always loved this spelling of Rebekah, and again Leigh went well with it.

Lucy Jane Shepard-Massani: originally she was gonna be Lux (another on the quirky nicknames list) but it never fit her, so she was just Lucy, though for awhile I tried to find a name for Lucy to be a nickname for but that never worked out either.

Maggie Noelle Hackett Shepard: she was originally named Sophie, but then I combined her universe with my papa!Zaeed universe and there's a Sophie there already, though she's not a Shepard. So I polled one of my discords and eventually came up with Maggie. Whether that's short for anything has yet to be determined. But her middle name of Noelle is because she was born on Christmas.

Isadora Marguerite "Izzy" Santiago: Ive always loved the name Isadora, though it was never on a list of potential kids names the way Katie was. Also it just fits so well with Santiago, I just had no choice but to use it. Marguerite I think was because I needed to find a reason for her nickname to be Daisy, and its a nickname for Margaret, et al.

12. What do other people often notice first in them?

Katie: her hair, or that she's quiet around strangers, sometimes even around people she knows well

What was their first impression of each other: well, the first time Kaidan and Maggie met was on Elysium. She was huddled in a corner, clutching her dead husband’s body, and Kaidan shot a batarian who was trying to grab her. 

In theory, she should have been relieved at his saving her life. In practice, he tried to help her up and she screamed in his face. 

He didn’t take it personally. It wasn’t the first or last time that particular scenario happened that day. 

18. Are you scared of spiders?  Yes, on a Ron Weasley level 

32. What is your favourite colour? black cherry red

22. Would you ever want to swim with sharks?

um... maybe.  you’re probably more likely to convince me to swim with dolphins though.

56. Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid?

Egyptologist or WWII expert, doctor, writer, firefighter, singer, artist, actress, librarian, and Princess Peach.

87. Ever won a contest?

yep.  when I was eight, I won a chance to get to go to a music and drama summer camp; I had a blast and went back every single year after that until I graduated lol

I won a microwave and $500 at the post-prom party my senior year.

and most recently, I won @zendelai‘s contest a couple of months ago :D
