“HEY, Beau !!” Goblin woman PEERS over, looking at Beau outside of the dome -- they were taking first watch together this time around, and Nott didn’t NECESSARILY mind the monk’s company: she was COOL, honestly. She did KICKASS monk stuff, and was BAD at talking -- but they never REALLY had the chance to talk to each other -- she was usually with Jester, Fjord -- and Caleb ( which was NICE !! Caleb NEEDED more friends, anyway ), so the fact that she would be keeping an eye out for INVADERS with her was NEW.
“You... Uh...” Nott TURNS away, brows KNIT together, “How’s -- uh -- how’s Caleb doing ?? You’ve been talking to him a LOT, and it’s GOOD, and I’m fine with it -- but are you playing NICE ?? He’s a very sensitive man, you see.”

The lines in her sketch grow thicker as she draws them over and over with her pencil, eyes squinting. Drawing the most important things that happened to her each day is a habit she started from a very early age, encouraged by the Traveler and her mother who both seemed to enjoy her sketching. It wasn’t until she met the Mighty Nein, however, that remembering every detail of her day became a little bit harder. Too many battles, too many people, too many shops, and cities, and conversations. “Hm?” Jester looks up, eyebrows rising as she stares at Beau, “What? No, I was listening. You were saying something about, like… uh… about…” Their last fight? That they had a new roommate now that Yasha was back? How they were all happy that they got her back at all? “Okay, I wasn’t like… listening listening, but I was listening!”

Vaughn Samson thrives in chaos, or at least that’s his excuse for why his apartment is one step away from a hoarder’s episode. He has better things to do than worry about how his place looks. Plus, who cares that his place is a mess if he knows where everything is within the mess?
He’s a great friend to have 98% of the time. He’s fun and excited and literally always up for anything. You want ramen at 3 am from a joint all the way across town? You text Vaughn. You want to go hiking and no one will go? Vaughn’s your guy, even if he’s already got something going on. He’s usually in the middle of three or four projects at any given time because he gets bored too easily, but won’t give up on any of his ‘babies.’ Those damn artist types.
The 2% of the time he’s not a great friend? It’s when fighty, will kick your ass at the slightest provocation Vaughn shows up. He tries to reign in his temper but sometimes it gets the best of him. He’s gotten in his fair share of bar fights, most of which he doesn’t usually win, but hey, he hasn’t gotten too hurt yet. Maybe one day he’ll grow out of it. Who knows?

“we need a cleric.” that is said mostly to herself, mouth turned down at the corners and the flat of her hand steady between beau’s shoulders. she hopes it keeps her steady, and grounded, and if not that then something approaching it.
“drink.” it’s not a question. she pushes a waterskin at her, eyes half on beau and half on the horizon - for their friends or for danger.
there is only so much yasha can do. her own healing only goes so far, and it’s not going to do anything for the poison going through her. caduceus or jester will find them eventually, or yasha will bring her to them. right now, she’s trying to decide which would be more productive, and she’s leaning towards the latter.
“i think the lesson here ... ah, i don’t know. don’t get poisoned.”
