Memories of Noragami: Day 2

Honestly, I have a lot of favorite scenes. But I picked this one because it was the scene that won my heart when I was watching the anime for the first time and ultimately what made me start to read the manga because I needed more.

Yukine's ablution was heart wrenching and had already made me teary eyed. So the combo of that, Yato prompting Yukine to bow his head so that they could both properly thank Hiyori for saving their lives, and then Hiyori breaking down and hugging them because she was so relieved absolutely broke me. And then Yukine joins in with the crying just to make me even more emotional.

It was just such an emotional and heartwarming scene that really cemented the bonds between Hiyori and Yukine and at the very least let Yato put down his wall for the first time in a long time, at least momentarily.

as a bonus, I have to add this moment right after the ablution because it is truly too cute and funny (and also how I feel about Yukine too tbh)

What is this?

Noragami Week started as an idea thrown around on r/noragami on Reddit as a way to get more activity in the fandom. Noragami is a beloved anime for a lot of people and we’re hoping to breathe some life back into the fandom.
