The Harry Potter Alliance is trying to encourage Oregon voters to protect undocumented immigrants by voting no on ballot measure 105 this Election Day.

 Join us on Thursday, Nov 1 from 8pm - 10pm ET. We will be making calls to voters in Oregon for the No On 105 campaign. Ballot measure 105 will repeal the current law limiting the use of state and local law enforcement to enforce federal immigration laws. Voters need to vote No on 105 to protect immigrants and Stop The Snatchers.

Oregon was the first sanctuary state in the nation. We have been a sanctuary state for over 30 years. Oregon's sanctuary law was passed in 1987. The law was passed in response to racial profiling of immigrants by local, state, and federal law enforcement working together. “A No vote on Measure 105 will keep the law in place, ensuring that: Local police personnel, funds, equipment and facilities are not used to pursue and detain people based solely on suspicions about their immigration status. Oregonians cannot be stopped, detained or interrogated just because someone thinks they might be an undocumented immigrant. Local police can continue to hold people accountable, including both immigrants and non-immigrants, if they commit crimes and harm our community.
