Despite the fact that my page is literally all about writing.......

I stopped writing for a very long time. My ex-stepmother told me “I would never succeed and that I would not make a very good life for myself.” Why she would ever tell this to a fourteen-year-old who already felt like shit about herself I have no idea. I, however, was stubborn and hard headed. So I stopped for approximately six months. I had broken when I finished my first ever manuscript, which was hard for my small attention span. She told me it was a small success. I had not edited it and she said it wasn’t a big deal and it wasn’t done. I disagree nowadays. A manuscript is a finished story. The final manuscript is a nonwriters version of ‘done’. 

The point of this story is for me to tell you that writers are obsessed. They write and write and read. I was treated horribly because I was a writer and I almost stopped. I want to say that if words have a way with you and you’re connected to any type of literature don’t fall so low that you forget who you are. 

A nonwriter could never understand that bond. It is sacred and so many writers forget that others have no idea what they are talking about. Writers may be considered crazy but we all have accepted that. We are driven by a passion and if people want to fault us for that then ignore them. It is hard but know that you have a power. They can live their one boring life but we live many.

So dear ex-stepmother,

You’re a bitch. That is why is stopped talking to you. I am proud to be a writer. I am proud to be called weird and to carry notebooks with me everywhere. I am proud to connect emotionally to fictional people THAT I DESIGNED. With my own brain and thoughts. I taught myself a profession and at my age, I am more successful than you are now. That is saying something. It may not be money wise but listen, I have found myself and who I want to be. Can you truly say the same?  Can you say that you know who you are when you change with each new day? At least, I have some love for myself because of that thing you told me was stupid. 

That notebook, Francis, he deserved a name. I was proud of what that notebook contains and I will not ever regret naming it. It is stupid to you because you are a no-life whackjob who finds pleasure in correcting my life. Not that you understand it anyway. It is much to high class for someone of your mental  

Writers: I hate writing so much.

Nonwriters: If you hate writing why do you write.

To all writers and non-writers out there, now is the time to start digging up those creative writing skills back.

Publishing content that does not help your readers.

Maybe in the process of writing articles, you are thinking that all that is you wanted is links back to your site. And any visitors it can generate are fine.
