FOM BLOG: FIVE NON LEAGUE SIGNING SUGGESTIONS FOR GILLINGHAM
I have uploaded my FOM BLOG For Five Possible Goalkeeper Signing Suggestions For Gillingham Football Club, I have uploaded my FOM BLOG for Five Defender Signing Suggestions For Gillingham, I have uploaded My FOM BLOG for Five Midfielder Signing Suggestions For Gillingham, And I have also uploaded My FOM BLOG for Five Forward Signing Suggestions For Gillingham, And in my fifth and final blog of this mini series, I will now be looking at five non league players who could sign for Gillingham, because there are some very good players playing in non league football, and the gap from National League South and The National League to League Two isn’t a huge world of difference, and there will be some good players playing for clubs in the fifth and sixth tiers of English Football that Gillingham could look at signing who would strengthen the first team.
The previous four blogs in this mini series have looked at position’s in the squad that Gillingham need to strengthen - Goalkeeper, Defence, Midfield And The Forward Position’s On The Pitch - But this blog will just focus on players who have been performing well in non league football and possible options that Gillingham can look to sign, and the only thing in common for all five players suggested in this blog, is that they are all playing for non league clubs, but they won’t be five non league goalkeeper options that Gillingham can look to sign, they will be five different players who are all playing in different position’s on the pitch.
There have been so many examples of players performing well in non league football who earn themselves a move to a club in The Football League, and even go on and play for sides in The Premier League, Dwight Gayle, Matt Godden, James Tarkowski, Dean Henderson, and Nick Pope are five players who all started out in non league football, and Gillingham have signed players like Simeon Jackson, Adam Miller, John Nutter, Barry Fuller, Tony Cascarino, Andy Hessenthaler, Danny Kedwell, Leo Fortune-West and Simon King, those players mentioned are nine players who have played in non league football who have all played for Gillingham Football Club.
Twenty Years Ago, you probably would have said that there is a significant gap between non league and The Football League, but today, The National League is practically League Three, and the majority of clubs in the top division of non league football are fully professional, and also, many clubs in The National League North and National League South are professional as well, so the gap between League Two, The National League, And National League North / National League South, the gap between these division’s is very minuscule.
Below, I will be looking at five different players who are all playing in non league football who can strengthen Gillingham’s Squad For The 2026 / 2027 Season, there are some very good players playing in non league, and Gillingham should be looking in the lower division’s, because there have been players like Chris Smalling who moved to Manchester United, and some supporters have asked the question, how comes Gillingham have missed out on signing good players playing for local non league clubs ??? Hopefully, this is a transfer market Gillingham can now pay closer attention to, and these are my five suggested signings from non league who will strengthen Gillingham for next season.
ONE: SAM SENE-RICHARDSON - MIDFIELDER - CHATHAM TOWN -Â Sam Sene-Richardson has had an incredible season with Chatham Town, and it has been an exceptional season for Chatham Town Football Club, and an exceptional season for the nineteen year old midfielder, because Chatham Town reached The FA Cup First Round in the first time in one hundred years, Chatham Town reached The Fifth Round Of The FA Trophy, losing narrowly 1-0 against A Southend United Side who won the competition on penalties, in the previous round, Chatham Town won 1-0 against Carlisle United in that incredible FA Trophy Run, Chatham Town lost on penalties in The Semi Finals Of The Kent Senior Cup against Tonbridge Angels, And In The Isthmian League - Premier Division, Chatham Town lost narrowly 3-2 against Billericay Town in the semi finals of the playoffs.
With all of these matches played in different domestic cup competitions, it has been a season where Sam Sene-Richardson scored twelve goals and created twenty seven assist’s from midfield, that goals and assist’s record saw Sam Sene-Richardson named as Chatham Town Player Of The Season, and Young Player Of The Season, and those accolades and goal-scoring form is going to alert the attention of a lot of football clubs in The Football League.
But whichever side manages to sign Sam Sene-Richardson, has got to be prepared to make a lucrative offer to convince Chatham Town to sell there best player, and just because Chatham Town play in The Isthmian League Premier Division, don’t think for one second a transfer fee as low as £20.000 will secure the signing of a young goal-scoring midfielder playing at the lower levels of non league football, because Chatham Town know they have got a very talented midfielder, and there are going to be many football clubs higher up the football pyramid very very interested in signing the nineteen year old, especially after scoring twelve goals and creating twenty seven assist’s, those numbers from midfield will have many clubs paying close attention to Sam Sene-Richardson.
Gillingham do have a very good relationship with Chatham Town, Because Chatham Town V Gillingham XI Friendlies happen every summer now, and Gillingham are happy to send our young players out on loan to Chatham Town to play competitive first team football, and the move from Chatham Town to Gillingham works geographically for Sam Sene-Richardson, who may have more of a chance of being in and around the first team at Gillingham Football Club in League Two compared to moving to A Championship Side and being named in a development squad for a season or two.
But if Gillingham want to sign Sam Sene-Richardson, it’s going to require a very good transfer fee, and also, I think Sam Sene-Richardson will want to security of a three year / four year contract, knowing that he isn’t just moving to Gillingham In The Football League only to drop back into non league football again, the nineteen year old midfielder will want to be part of Gillingham’s first team squad in League Two, however, if other football clubs start to make bids akin to what Gillingham spent on signing Ronan Hale, there is a chance that Gillingham could be out-bidded for The Chatham Town Midfielder.
TWO: COLLIN ANDENG-NDI - GOALKEEPER - SOUTHEND UNITED - Collin Andeng-Ndi kept seventeen clean sheets in goal for Southend United throughout The 2025 / 2026 Season, And Southend United qualified for the playoffs in The National League, however, Scunthorpe United won 1-0 against Southend United in the elimination round at Glanford Park, which meant that Southend United will be preparing for another season in The National League.
There was however the consolation prize and some silverware for The Shrimpers, because Southend United beat Wealdstone 4-2 on penalties in The FA Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium after the match had finished goal-less after one hundred and twenty minutes, and in that penalty shootout, Collin Andeng-Ndi saved two penalties in goal for Southend United.
The twenty two year old goalkeeper is out of contract, however, because Southend United have offered a new and improved contract and they are still in contract negotiations, it means that if Gillingham want to sign Collin Andeng-Ndi, Gillingham will have to be prepared to pay the compensation fee to secure the signature of Southend United’s Number One Goalkeeper, and clearly, having reached the playoffs in The National League, and had some success winning The FA Trophy, Collin Andeng-Ndi will want to move to a club in The Football League, and Gillingham are close to Southend United geographically, so it isn’t like Collin Andeng-Ndi would have to move halfway across England to sign for Gillingham, but Southend United are going to want a decent compensation fee for there number one goalkeeper, and that could be the sticking point in making this transfer difficult, but if Gillingham were able to come to an agreement with Southend United, then Gillingham would be signing one of the best young goalkeepers in non league football.
THREE: JEPHTE TANGA - WINGER / FORWARD - MAIDSTONE UNITED - The third player on my list of five non league players that I am recommending for Gillingham to sign play for our old rivals in Maidstone United, and the player that I am mentioning as our third recommended signing is twenty one year old winger Jephte Tanga.
Now Jephte Tanga is a versatile wide player who can play on either flank or down the middle of the pitch as a central striker, but looking at video clips of his highlights, it is very clear that Jephte Tanga’s best position is playing as a left winger, he is quick, direct, willing to take opposition defenders on, and has scored goals and created assist’s playing down the left side of the pitch for Maidstone United, but the step up and jump up from National League South into The Football League is vast, but how many times have we seen team’s like Peterborough United for example, sign players from non league clubs, develop them, and sell them on for a profit, and we’re left wondering how and why Gillingham are not able or capable of making these types of signings ourselves ???
The 2025 / 2026 Season was probably Jephte Tanga’s best goal-scoring season for the wide player, with Jephte Tanga scoring seven goals in forty five appearances as Maidstone United narrowly missed out on the playoff position’s in The National League South, and if Jephte Tanga were to build on that season again next season, and let’s say for example, Jephte Tanga scores ten goals and creates eight assist’s, that is only going to get more clubs in The Football League paying close attention to the pacey and tricky wide player, so this could be a situation where Gillingham need to push for the move to sign Jephte Tanga now, before some bigger clubs in League One swoop in and sign The Maidstone United Winger.
FOUR: TITO SALAAM - CENTRE BACK - SUTTON UNITED - My other three player suggestions signings so far are a goal-creating midfielder in Sam Sene-Richardson, Southend United Goalkeeper Collin Andeng-Ndi, who has been offered a new contract at Roots Hall, and Jephte Tanga who is a promising winger at Maidstone United, but the next player I am going to recommend as a potential signing was a player who appeared randomly whilst I was doing research on non league players.
And the fourth player in my five recommended non league players who Gillingham should sign is nineteen year old centre back Tito Salaam, The Sutton United Defender has had loan spells with Hastings United and Lewes FC to gain valuable experience of first team football out on loan in the lower levels of non league football, so the question being asked, which is a fair one, why would Gillingham be interested in signing a centre back who is not really playing first team football for Sutton United ???
It is a fair question to ask, But having done some additional research on this player, Tito Salaam is 6’5’, he has the height and physicality needed for centre back’s in League Two, and with that height and physicality, Tito Salaam is solid in the air and wins his fair share of aerial battles in defence, comfortable in possession of the ball, but I would say Tito Salaam prefers to knock the ball long down the channel and take the less risky option.
Playing position wise, I would say Tito Salaam can line up as a central centre back or a right centre back in a back three, and with Tito Salaam so young at the age of nineteen, it could well be the case that Gillingham look to sign Tito Salaam on a longer contract, but look to send the young centre back out on loan to get valuable experience of playing competitive first team football on a week in, week out basis, but this might be a signing for the longer term then for the here and now, similar to how Gillingham signed Ethan Coleman and Jayden Clarke in January 2023.
FIVE: DANNY ORMEROD - STRIKER - AFC FYLDE - It has been a successful season for AFC Fylde and a successful season for Striker Danny Ormerod, because AFC Fylde won promotion from National League North into The National League, with AFC Fylde picking up 100 points and scoring 112 goals, and the twenty year old striker scored thirty one goals in forty three games to fire AFC Fylde to promotion into The National League.
That type of goal-scoring form is going to attract a lot of interest from many clubs in The Football League, and there will be some big spending football clubs in League One who would be very keen to sign Danny Ormerod, and a bidding war for the young striker will only drive up the price of the transfer fee, and that is something that works in AFC Fylde’s favour, because they will be reluctant to sell there star striker unless they are offered a transfer fee which is just too big to turn down.
Now Gillingham were linked with a move for Danny Ormerod in The January Transfer Window, and the move failed to materialise at the time, probably because AFC Fylde wanted to keep there star striker and get promoted this season, and Danny Ormerod has helped AFC Fylde to achieve promotion into The National League, and the young striker will set his sights higher and will want to play in The Football League.
Now AFC Fylde are a very northern football club, and would Danny Ormerod want to move down south to play for Gillingham in League Two, or, would Ormerod prefer signing for a northern club in The Football League ??? - If location isn’t a factor and Gillingham can get this deal over the line, it is going to require a very expensive transfer fee, lucrative wages on a long term contract to get this deal over the line, and some clubs in League One will have bigger financial resources then Gillingham can afford, especially if the transfer fee starts to get around the £750.000 mark.
Now of course, Gillingham have got our own goal-scoring striker in Ronan Hale, and the point will be made why do Gillingham need to spend big money on another striker when Gillingham have got Ronan Hale ??? - Well, there are going to be moments throughout the season where Ronan Hale needs to be rested, or, he picks up an injury, and in those situations you need other players to step in and score a few goals whilst Ronan Hale is recovering on the treatment table.
Also, Danny Ormerod is only twenty years old, if he replicates that goal-scoring form at AFC Fylde for Gillingham, then in two to three years time, Gillingham could sell Danny Ormerod for an impressive transfer fee with a sell on attached, sometimes you have to spend money to make money, and strikers who can score goals on a consistent basis, can help your side achieve promotion, go on a cup run in The FA Cup and League Cup, and strikers who score goals on a consistent basis are the players that teams will spend the big money on, but do Gillingham have enough of that big money now to make an offer which AFC Fylde consider too big to turn down ???
And so, these are my five non league signing suggestions for Gillingham Football Club, a young player in Sam Sene-Richardson who has been scoring and assisting goals for local side Chatham Town, a very talented young goalkeeper at Southend United in Collin Andeng-Ndi, a pacey and skilful winger in Jephte Tanga, who has been scoring goals for Maidstone United in the 2025 / 2026 season, a young centre back who might be considered more of a long term signing in Tito Salaam, and a striker who has been scoring goals very consistently at AFC Fylde in Danny Ormerod, but those are my five suggestions of non league players that Gillingham need to take a look at, but who do you think Gillingham should be signing this summer ??? feel free to respond with your own non league signing recommendations.
An Unwanted Landmark and the Decline in Attendances at Lewes FC
BY Chris Harris Last night the Lewes men’s team drew a crowd of just 351 supporters, a figure that would have seemed almost unimaginable not so long ago. For the first time, possibly since the introduction of fan ownership, the club’s average attendance has now slipped below the average for the division we compete in. It is only marginal, but symbolically significant: the mean attendance across…

FOM BLOG - FIVE THINGS TO PICK OUT FROM CHATHAM TOWN 1-0 GILLINGHAM XI
After Gillingham’s 2-1 Away Defeat Against Ebbsfleet United In Pre-Season, Gillingham were back in action on Friday 25th Of July, And with Gillingham’s First Team traveling to Princes Park to take on Dartford on The Saturday, the team that will be playing against Chatham Town will be a very young and inexperienced side, and players like Harry Bridle, Harry Waldock and Taite Holtam are expected to play for Gillingham against Chatham Town.
But despite the fact that Gillingham are sending A XI Side to The Bauvill Stadium, Chatham Town were still expecting a very high attendance for this pre-season friendly, and as a reference point, when Chatham Town won 2-1 against A Gillingham XI Side in 2024, the attendance for that friendly was 1287, a truly remarkable attendance for a pre-season friendly that isn’t even featuring Gillingham’s First Team.
And when I arrived at Chatham Town with plenty of time to spare before kick off, the car park was completely packed and car’s looking to park in the car park were being told to find alternative parking spots, and I paid £8 entrance fee on the turnstiles, and Chatham Town were anticipating an attendance of 1500 - 2000 for the pre-season friendly between Chatham Town and Gillingham XI.
Unfortuantely, no printed match-day programme or printed team sheets for this pre-season friendly, but I was able to queue up at the food kiosks to buy a small portion of chips, a cheese-burger and two cans of coca cola for £11, and the queue for food and drink was packed even when I arrived at the ground early, so arriving early meant being able to queue for food and drink, and that queue no doubt will be busier closer to kick off time as well.
This is how Gillingham lined up against Chatham Town in our final XI Pre-Season Friendly…….
LINE UP: Taite Holtam (GK), Harry Webster, Logan Dobbs, Zack Broadbent, Lenni Cirino, Jack Nolan, Nelson Khumbeni, Harry Waldock, Cruz Beszant, Damien Theodore, Harry Bridle
SUBSTITUTES: Fletcher Hegarty (GK), Kasper Kot, Raif Jones, Sullivan Booth, Kelly Adams, Louie Dayal, Alfie Cross, Nayan Grant, Stan Sargent and Arthur MhlangaÂ
Taite Holtam, Harry Webster, Logan Dobbs, Harry Waldock, Cruz Beszant, Damien Theodore, and Harry Bridle have all been in and around Gillingham’s First Team Squad for pre-season friendlies all started for Gillingham XI against Chatham Town, and Gareth Ainsworth did mention in his post match press conference after Gillingham’s 2-1 defeat against Ebbsfleet United that the likes of Harry Waldock, Harry Bridle and Damien Theodore were going to play for Gillingham against Chatham Town in this pre-season friendly.
But here are the five talking points to take away from Gillingham’s 1-0 Away Defeat Against Chatham Town At The Bauvill Stadium……….
ONE: NELSON KHUMBENI AND JACK NOLAN - Two Players who I perhaps didn’t expect to see Gillingham play against Chatham Town for The Gillingham XI Side were Jack Nolan and Nelson Khumbeni, But both midfielders got the opportunity to play for seventy minutes for Gillingham XI against Chatham Town, and both players got the chance to increase there match fitness and match sharpness level’s before the start of the season.
There was one goal-scoring opportunity second half where Jack Nolan whips in a dangerous in-swinging cross and Logan Hobbs header on goal goes over the crossbar, but the main takeaway for both first team players was to come through the match with no injury concern’s, and playing seventy minutes will make sure that both midfielder’s are more ready for the start of the season away against Accrington Stanley on the opening day of the season.
TWO: DAMIEN THEODORE WAS GILLINGHAM’S BEST PLAYER - If I am picking a player for Gillingham’s Man Of The Match In Gillingham’s XI’s 1-0 Away Defeat Against Chatham Town, then Damien Theodore would be my choice for Man Of The Match, because Damien Theodore wins possession of the ball for Gillingham, who then passes the ball through to Harry Bridle, and Harry Bridle passes the ball square to Cruz Beszant, and Cruz Beszant see’s his effort on goal saved by Chatham Town Goalkeeper Henry Molyneux.
There were other chances in the first half where Damien Theodore was at the forefront of attacking opportunities for The Gills, Nelson Khumbeni played a clever pass in behind for Damien Theodore to run on to, and Damien Theodore used his pace to get to the byline, and Damien Thoedore whipped in a low cross towards Harry Bridle and Harry Bridle could not quite manage to direct his effort on goal on target and Chatham Town cleared there defensive lines.
Damien Theodore then had a fantastic opportunity to open the scoring for Gillingham, Harry Webster whipped in a fantastic in-swinging cross which went over the head of Jack Nolan and A Chatham Town Defender, and Damien Theodore gets the ball under control before seeing his low effort on goal brilliantly saved by Chatham Town Goalkeeper Henry Molyneux, and in separate attacking opportunity, Damien Theodore was causing Chatham Town problems with his pace and direct running, and only a brilliantly timed interception diverted the ball out of play at the expense of conceding a corner kick.
But Damien Theodore was quick, very direct and his pace was causing Chatham Town numerous problems defensively and he was Gillingham’s best player on the night, and if Gillingham are not close to making any signings at this moment in time, I would go as far to say, look, name Damien Theodore on the substitutes bench for Accrington Stanley Away On The Opening Day Of The Season, because Damien Theodore has got pace, and pace is in short supply in this Gillingham Squad, and he could be an impact player on the bench for Gillingham’s First Team and be something different that Gillingham do not have in-terms of attacking options, especially as it is very likely that Seb Palmer-Houlden and Sam Vokes won’t be available for selection for the first team on the opening day of the season.
THREE: EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICALITY MAKES A MASSIVE DIFFERENCE - There will be some Gillingham Supporters looking at the result and A Gillingham XI Side has lost 1-0 against Chatham Town in The Isthmian League Premier Division wondering why have Gillingham lost against a side in the seventh tier of The English Pyramid.
But having watched all three Gillingham XI Matches in pre-season this summer, and previous matches both in The Kent Senior Cup and Gillingham XI Sides in previous pre-season’s, there is a big difference in experience, physicality, stamina and power between young players playing for A Gillingham XI Side, and experienced non league players playing for Chatham Town who are competing week in, week out at a high standard of non league football, there are some very strong football clubs and very good footballer’s playing in The Isthmian League Premier Division, and you only have to look at the teams competing in The Isthmian League Premier Division this coming season to understand that this league is a very competitive division, with Ramsgate, Folkestone Invicta, Dartford, Welling United, Chatham Town, Billericay Town, Dulwich Hamlet and Whitehawk are all playing in this division.
And there are some good promising young players playing for Gillingham XI against Chatham Town, Taite Holtam, Harry Webster, Logan Dobbs, Harry Waldock, Cruz Beszant, Damien Theodore, and Harry Bridle who have been in and around Gillingham’s First Team Squad throughout pre-season, Stan Sargent has been scoring goals for The Gillingham XI Side throughout pre-season, but at this current stage in there development, Chatham Town are going to be better in-terms of the physical side of the game.
Take Bradley Dack for example, I remember seeing Bradley Dack play for Gillingham against Welling United In The Kent Senior Cup in 2011, and Bradley Dack scored an own goal in that game, Jake Hessenthaler and Paulo Gazzaniga played for Gillingham in that fixture also, and look at Sam Gale and how he has gone from a young player who signed for Chelmsford City on loan at the start of last season, to now becoming one of the first name’s on the team sheet for Gillingham this season, a remarkable level of development in a short period of time, and it places a great importance for our young players to go out on loan and gain valuable experience playing competitive first team football, Sam Gale and Joe Gbode’s progression into the first team will hopefully inspire a few more young players to make that same level of development within the next twelve months at Gillingham Football Club.
FOUR: THE WINNING GOAL WAS A FANTASTIC STRIKE - Sometimes there are goals conceded where you can point towards poor defending, and sometimes the goal the team you support have conceded is an excellent goal, and the goal from Sam Folarin to give Chatham Town the lead, and it was the deciding goal of the game as Chatham Town won 1-0 against A Gillingham XI Side, it’s just a sensational goal and an excellent strike as well.
Because Sam Folarin has curled his effort into the top corner of the net from twenty five yards out and there is nothing that Taite Holtam or another goalkeeper could have done to prevent Sam Folarin from scoring for Chatham Town.
FIVE: THREE GOAL-SCORING OPPORTUNITIES IN QUICK SUCCESSION FOR GILLINGHAM - There was a passage of play where Gillingham created three excellent goal-scoring opportunities within a six minute spell late on in the second half, the first of these three goal-scoring opportunities see’s Harry Waldock’s driven effort on goal go narrowly wide of the far post.
The second of the three goal-scoring opportunities created see’s Chatham Town’s Trialist Goalkeeper not only just save Louie Dayal’s driven effort towards goal, but he caught it mid-flight as well, this wasn’t a tame effort on goal by any means, it was a brilliant strike from Louie Dayal and you could understand any goalkeeper parrying the ball wide and away from goal, but The Chatham Town Trialist Goalkeeper actually caught the ball, and the third and final of these three goal-scoring opportunities in quick succession see’s Stan Sargent pick out Louie Dayal with a low cross inside Chatham Town’s Penalty Area, Ans Louie Dayal’s driven effort towards goal is saved yet again by The Chatham Town Goalkeeper, and I have no idea how Gillingham have not scored any of those goal-scoring opportunities created in that passage of play.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
A STRONG LINK BETWEEN CHATHAM TOWN AND GILLINGHAM FOOTBALL CLUB’S - When Gillingham won 12-0 against Chatham Town in a pre-season friendly when Ade Pennock was Gillingham Manager and Gillingham sent our first team to that fixture against Chatham Town in 2017, that was the first time I had seen Gillingham play against Chatham Town in a pre-season friendly, and both football club’s hardly played against each other in pre-season fixtures, now, this is a regular match that is played every season with Gillingham often scheduling A Gillingham XI Friendly against Chatham Town on A Friday Night in pre-season every summer, and the attendances for Chatham Town V Gillingham XI Sides is often over 1.000, and Chatham Town often get 1.000+ attendances for home matches in The Isthmian League Premier Division
Chatham Town playing in The Isthmian League Premier Division is a sign of the football club’s development over the past few season’s, because it wasn’t that many year’s ago now when Chatham Town were playing in The SCEFL against Hollands & Blair, Lordswood, and Whitstable Town, now, Chatham Town are playing against the likes of Welling United, Dartford, Folkestone Invicta, Ramsgate and Billericay Town in the seventh tier of English Football, and with recent success on the pitch where Chatham Town have won two promotion’s in a row over the past few year’s, attendances have been on the increase, things have improved for the better for Chatham Town, who have got big ambitions themselves to try and get promoted into The National League South.
And Gillingham are quite happy to send our young players out on loan to Chatham Town to experience playing meaningful competitive first team football, Harry Webster spent time out on loan at Chatham Town last season, and I am sure that one or two players at Gillingham who are not looking likely to get opportunities to play for our first team will be given the chance to go out on loan, and we’re obviously happy to send our young players out on loan to Chatham Town to gain valuable experience of playing first team football.
GILLINGHAM NEED A RESERVE LEAGUE - What these matches against Sheppey United, Whitstable Town and Chatham Town have shown is that these matches are very beneficial for our young players to play in, and these matches can also give Gillingham the option to play first team players who are on the fringes of the first team and not getting any game-time.
So couldn’t Gillingham create or be part of a reserve league with Chatham Town, Lordswood, Rochester United, Sheppey United, Faversham Town, Whitstable Town, Dartford, Ebbsfleet United and Hollands & Blair, and you got a ten team reserve league and team’s can schedule these reserve games throughout the season, and of course, Gillingham can play every reserve league game away from home to make sure that non league clubs make plenty of revenue both in-terms of gate revenue and food and drink sold on a match-day.
Gillingham need a second team playing in a reserve league or U21 League to help bridge the gap between youth team football and first team football, and for our younger players, playing in-front of supporters at Sheppey United, Whitstable Town and Chatham Town is good for there development, where as The Youth Merit League and The Youth Alliance League that The Gillingham U18’s participate in is played on Gillingham’s Training Ground, I don’t think supporters can go along and watch these matches being played, and there players from the same age group playing against each other - but I might be mistaken and supporters can indeed go to the youth team matches and watch players play - but the attendances for A Gillingham XI Game against Sheppey United is going to be higher then The Merit League Fixtures played on early Saturday Morning for example.
BAD INJURY FOR ZACK BROADBENT - Mid-way through the first half, there was a collision between Taite Holtam and team-mate Zack Broadbent inside Gillingham’s Penalty Area that looked really bad for both players, and after some treatment, Taite Holtam had recovered to continue playing in goal for Gillingham, But Defender Zack Broadbent was not so fortunate and had to be substituted due to injury, and I wish a full and speedy recovery to Zack Broadbent, because that injury against Chatham Town looked very unpleasant.

The proper details, figures, and detailed projections are my intellectual property rights. They represent lots of work, and if we ever have people running the club whose vision align with mine, I will happily share them with them.
