Apparently Eddie has said he hopes to keep Tino and Lewis long term, which sadly for me means that Sandro is probably going this summer. I had thought the tide had turned there and the signs were pointing to him staying. I just hope that the club leads the sale and not him, since the fanbase were so decent to him and I'd hate him to leave as if he wasn't also fond of them in return.
I commit to RPFing in a bubble that runs from summer 2023-spring 2026.

Last thing I’ll say on transfers whilst the season’s still going (and then I’m blissfully going back under my news-free rock)—I’ve gone from “I don’t want my favourite boys to leave” to “I just don’t want my favourite boys going to a red shirt English team”. I’m manifesting Bayern for my boy. He’s said he hates the way the Prem plays football, this could suit him so well. He’d look hot as fuck in some lederhosen. He loves Harry Kane. Tino would have a crisis with two of his besties being in the same team.
And the slimmest of silver linings to this all (besides all the ££ we’d get and nobody being bigger than the team etc etc) is that no matter what, Tino is going to be the overpaid right back making Anthony’s life difficult from now on. And I think that’s beautiful. And until then I’m going to try and make the most of my two favourite players still being on board my trainwreck of a team. I thought Anthony was gone two years ago. I spent last summer worrying Tino would be out. I’ve had three more combined years with them than I thought so 🫡 if it’s not a red Prem team*, I can live. Just about.

Marc Cucurella has signed a six‑year contract with Real Madrid, who paid 55 million euros for the defender.
Cucurella was developed at RCD Espanyol and later FC Barcelona. In 2017 he made his only official first‑team appearance for Barcelona, featuring in a Copa del Rey match against Real Murcia.
He then joined SD Eibar on loan, and in 2019 Eibar activated his purchase clause. Barcelona immediately exercised their buy‑back option in the same window and sent him on loan to Getafe CF, who signed him permanently the following season.
In 2021 Getafe sold him to Brighton & Hove Albion, and one year later he completed a move to Chelsea London. For Chelsea he played 163 matches, scoring 9 goals and providing 13 assists, while winning both the Conference League and the Club World Cup.
