Maybe the time is wearing thin now
The minutes all wander so fast
The clock is condescending
Footprints fade in the sand
I'm turning away
Soft and tender
This twilight
Is the
End
Rudolf Karel (1880-1945) - Nonet, Op. 11 - Allegro con fuoco ¡ ¡
Panochovo kvarteto - ÄlenovĂŠ ¡ Pavel Nejtek
I wanted to see if I could blend 2 forms of poetry, so here is a little acrostic nonet.
Summer Apple
A nonet for the prompt âSummerâ for GOetry Monday
@goodomensafterdark
(9) Shall I compare you to the summer?
(8) You are more ardent, fierce and hot!
(7) I melt in you like ice cream,
(6) let your heat seep through me,
(5) boneless beneath you.
(4) Tempt me, Summer,
(3) apple red,
(2) neath sky-
(1) blue!
âHe couldn't see why people made such a fuss about people eating their silly old fruit anyway, but life would be a lot less fun if they didn't. And there never was an apple, in Adam's opinion, that wasn't worth the trouble you got into for eating it. â

Aziraphale (whoâs sky-blue-eyed POV this poem is in) may carefully, lovingly mock the first two lines of the worldâs most famous sonett (18) by Shakespeare:
âShall I compare thee to a summerâs day? â¨Thou art more lovely and more temperate.â

It's another Five Words Good Omens-themed poetry challenge from @whickberstreetwriters!
Using the words astray, dust, laugh, sigh and smoke, I've done another nonet from Crowley's POV đ
Caution, Still
In the dawning, the noon sun, the twilight sighs
In the daybreak, the dreaming, the stardust night
your laugh races, embraces, swooping around me,
like a white plume of smoke
I choke; hold my tongue -
astray I should stay.
Yet I'm forever
drawn to
you.
I wrote this poem for tumblr GOetry Monday. The form was a nonet and the prompt was Summer. I didn't feel very poetic, as such. This is the result.
I Still Wish
That summer six thousand years ago
The summer we met on the wall
I had a fucking heat stroke
'T was no sun or ill fate
To set me aflame
Just angel gaze
I still wish
I got
Laid
If I only had one âI love youâ
and my whole long life to give it,
Iâd give it to you today.
A hasty, precious choice,
but you should know that
my perfect joy
is soft, blue,
close to
you.
