I have been wanting to write a piece about my gender identity for a while. This is a topic that is still very tender to me but I felt that it was important to share for a couple of different reasons. 

1. Story-telling saves lives

2. Representation in all forms matter

3. “coming out” isn’t only for younger folks

In my newest blog post I am starting the process of creating a writing series around my experiences and feelings of being gender nonconforming as I uncover the layers of dominant culture that I have been hiding under for years. At forty years old I am more myself than I have been in a long time and it feels nice to share that with all of you.
