Hey there! Nice idea, sure!
The sky was on fire.
Not literally, though, given the cratered landscape and the burning ships scattered across the place, it was close enough. Earth hadnât seen chaos like this since the Saiyan invasion.
Friezaâs soldiers littered the ground, some unconscious, some swearing vengeance, and some simply dead. And at the center of it all, laughing amid the destruction, was Y/N.
Hair matted by soot, grin splitting her face, she spun a shard of metal between her fingers like a toy. âThat's all youâve got?â she shouted toward the sky, voice carrying over the hum of falling debris. âI was just getting warmed up!â
A silence followed. Then, a slow, deliberate clap.
From the smoke, a figure emerged, pristine, polished, and very, very short calm.
âAh,â Frieza drawled, floating down as if the chaos below was beneath his notice. âSo this is the little savage who turned my landing squad into scrap metal.â
She tilted her head, smirking. âYou say that like itâs a bad thing.â
Friezaâs golden eyes narrowed. âYou are bold. Iâll give you that. But tell me⊠what are you, exactly? Certainly not human, you're too strong, too reckless. Perhaps some half-bred Saiyan brat who thinks sheâs clever?â
She flicked a bit of ash off her shoulder. âLabels are boring. I just like fighting. And explosions :D.â
The smirk that crossed his lips didnât reach his eyes. âHow quaint.â
He raised a finger. A sphere of crackling energy appeared, humming with lethal power. âThen letâs see how long your amusement lasts, shall we?â
---
The first blast tore through the air â but she was already gone, darting around him with a burst of energy. The ground split beneath the pressure.
She laughed, maniacally. âFinally! Someone who doesnât bore me!â
Friezaâs expression remained neutral, but his attacks grew sharper, faster, tail snapping through the air, beams slicing through the smoke. Every time he thought he had her, she was somewhere else, kicking him square in the face, or tugging at his tail with a cheeky grin.
âYou littleâ!â
âCareful, shiny,â she teased, ducking under his swing. âIâd hate to ruin that perfect face.â
Friezaâs aura flared, cold, deadly, weirdly beautiful. âYou think you can mock me? I am Lord Frieza! Emperor of the Universe!â
She blew him a kiss. âCute title. Does it come with a Burger King crown?â
The look on his face was worth the risk.
He struck harder, but she met him head-on, every move unpredictable, almost careless, but effective. Y/N fought like someone who enjoyed pain, chaos, and the thrill of nearly dying. It wasnât strength that overwhelmed him; it was her absolute disregard for fear.
And when the dust settled, he was on one knee, eyes burning.
Y/N hovered above him, laughing softly. âGuess thatâs game over, huh?â
For a moment, Frieza didnât move. Then, slowly, he began to laugh.
Low. Cold. Amused.
âOh, my dearâŠâ His voice was a silken thread. âDo you have any idea what youâve just done?â
She shrugged. âKicked your royal ass?â
He rose to his feet, smile widening, too calm, too composed for someone whoâd just lost. âYouâve done far more than that. Youâve made yourself interesting for me.â
Y/N blinked. â...Huh?â
Frieza stepped forward, the air tightening with his ki. âYou think this is over. You think youâve won. But I donât lose. Not truly. I adapt.â
He reached out, fingers just grazing her chin, before she swatted his hand away.
âDonât touch me unless I say so, dude.â
That earned her a soft, almost affectionate chuckle. âOh, I do enjoy your spirit. Youâll find that Iâm not easily dissuaded, my dear.â
She tilted her head, amused despite the danger. âYouâre serious, arenât you? Youâre actually into this.â
Friezaâs eyes glinted. âInto you. Youâre chaos personified, the one thing this universe has never given me: something I cannot fully control.â
Y/N crossed her arms. âSo⊠what, youâre gonna chase me around now? Thatâs your big villain plan?â
âNot chase,â he corrected, voice low and deliberate. âClaim you.â
Her laughter rang through the smoke. âOh, this is gonna be fun.â
---
From that day, it was a war of a different kind.
He sent soldiers to âretrieveâ her. She sent them to hell, leaving taunting messages scrawled into their armor. Sometimes, she let them catch her, only to escape halfway through Friezaâs little speeches, leaving him seething but oddly entertained.
Each encounter fed the fire. Heâd appear suddenly, mid-party or mid-battle, smiling that eerie calm smile.
âYou seem to be enjoying yourself,â heâd say.
And she'd wink. âJealous?â
His smile would darken. âYou have no idea.â
But the truth was, she liked it. She liked the chase, the danger, the way his obsession burned like a star but never quite reached her. Y/N liked the power she had on him.
No one got under Friezaâs skin but her, and she did it laughing.
---
One night, Y/N stood on the edge of a ruined city, wind whipping her hair, the glow of his ship casting pale light over the rubble.
Frieza appeared behind her, silent as the grave.
âYou run so well,â he murmured. âIt almost makes me forget that you always come back.â
She turned, smirking. âWell, I do like the attention.â
His hand lifted, but not in attack. His fingers brushed a strand of hair from her face, eyes gleaming with a strange, feverish tenderness.
âYou belong nowhere,â he said softly. âYou thrive in chaos. So do I. We could rule it together, you and I. Destroy, rebuild, repeat. Eternally.â
She met his gaze, unflinching, daring. âTempting offer. But whereâs the fun if I just say yes?â
He smiled. âThen donât. Keep running. Iâll always find you.â
She grinned, stepping back toward the flames. âIâm counting on it.â
And with that, Y/N vanished into the smoke, laughter echoing behind her, wild and untamed.
Frieza watched the empty space for a long moment, smile fading into something darker.
âOh, my dear,â he murmured. âYouâve no idea what youâve started.â
