GenderFlux is a Start Up company I started a little less than 2 years ago. We started with a 3 part campaign of t-shirts featuring terminology such as Genderfluid, Genderqueer & Agender! We finished with a crowd funder where we raised almost $8k! While we get the final touches made on our first collection of clothing and set ourselves up with a manufacture, we have released a new website with fun new merch! Have a look! ...

My very good friend and the creative director for GenderFlux, Barry Brandon, is developing an app specifically to connect the non-binary & gender non-conforming communities together. It is a MEMBERS ONLY app, which means that the app will cost you $5/monthly or $30/yearly, to access and be apart of the community. This cost allows further development of the app, but it also keeps trolls and bullies out. The app will instantly connect you to queer and non-binary individuals in your area! ...
I hope I can begin working on my music soon!

Coming for the social construct of gender like, ...
When I decided to become a gender fluid fashion blogger I certainly didn't expect everything that happened next. All of a sudden I realized the growing need for something very different in the world. Being Non-Binary is something that general society is not exposed to because it is not something expressed in mainstream media. Well, myself and others are changing that, slowly but surely.
However, people don't need just another pretty face, Non-Binary or not. Real change comes from hard work, dedication, trial and error and most importantly passion. When I began receiving messages like the ones bellow and thousands of others just like them... I found the passion I needed to create real change.
... A year later the idea for GenderFlux was born.
The brand will be finishing the second portion of it's campaign on March 31st, with Pt.3 of the campaign launching the very next day, April 1st! The crowd funding portion will allow us to take the brand to a new level. We plan to present a full collection of clothes Designed by SCAD Fashion Graduate, Michael Robinson. When my team and I approached Michael about designing the brands first collection, he was all about the concept of the brand and wanted to help in any way that he could. Now, alongside my good friend and mentor Barry Brandon, we are reaching out for help to make this collection of Non-Binary clothing available to you and others who crave a brand that is fresh, unique and best of all truly gender-less!
I'm not done yet...
When GenderFlux is at full throttle, I plan to move forward with my music. I will travel for a while, continue to serve up a tasty mouthful of gender bending fashion and then drop an EP like no other, when you least expect it of course!
Here is to tomorrow and each day after that!

The Genderflux Shirt
It's been a long time coming but I finally got a shirt from the beautiful brand Genderflux, created by the equally beautiful Elliot Alexzander.
In the beginning the shirt was novelty for me, a way to express my journey and show support for the genderfluid, non-binary and trans community.
After getting the shirt and putting it on, something extraordinary happened. Wearing that shirt made things real. Real in the way I identify publicly, outside myself and with my family .
Internally I know who I am and how I Identified, but the Genderflux shirt allowed everyone in my space, which for myself is usually kept private. Yes I wear heels, dresses and make up in public, but that never defined me, it only showcased my killer sense of style and maybe a false outlook from our "ignorant society " of what my sexuality is.
The Genderflux t-shirt brought questions and in a way that felt unfamiliar to me! Instead of people coming to me asking what I am, they asked about the symbol on the shirt, which opened a bigger conversation.
I choose the symbol over the words because I feel symbols bring unexpected company. For example, someone who has a very conservative view on gender might see the terminology "gender queer" or "non-binary" on my shirt and more than likely are going to go on with their business, pass judgement and stay uneducated. However, with the trans/gender fluid/non binary symbol, I get the same kind of people but they are not repelled by the words, instead they are drawn in by the symbol, which allows me the opportunity to educate and start a conversation.
