I'm getting the blog ready for a make over for the new main file so I'll be pretty much inactive for a liiittle bit longer, but I'd like to ask opinions for the second file! How did you decide how to make your chara look? I'm always so lost on it but I want to settle on a look for her
I’m pretty bad with advice for looks since my character’s appearance is pretty much summed up by “me, but with blue eyes and whatever outfit’s cutest”
I guess you can base it off their personality, like if they’re bookish, make them look accordingly or something like that, but then that can get kinda boring and trope-y? Or go for what style you like most?

I've recently started a new game on Story of Seasons, and in my search for a new bachelor to pursue, I came across your adorable and amazing blog! :)You have inspired me to start a blog of my own, but I don't even know where to begin! I was wondering, how do you draw your pics/edit them/post them? I like to do pencil sketches a lot but am completely clueless when it comes to transferring them to the digital world. Hello and thank you, I’m happy to hear! c’: Hopefully I can be of some help! I’m pretty bad at explaining things, but if there’s anything that I could use to clarify better, let me know!
For the kinds I do now, except for the rare occasion, I do them all through computer- draw them on a small wacom pen and touch on Manga Studio/Clip Studio Paint (the only brushes I use are the G-Pen and watercolor brush, I also play with putting patterns and colors and stuff on overlay or soft light on top of it all, like my favorite to use being this one of a galaxy to give it extra colors). Posting’s the easy part- I either go with a photo post or a text post if the picture is too small and gets destroyed in a photo post (though you have to switch to html editing and find where it says tumblr-full and change full to hires, or else the picture’s size will be blown up).
For anything I start with a pencil and finish digitally, I scan them in with a scanner (300 DPI, I scan them in as TIFF, I think) , make a new layer and either resketch to clean it up or go straight to inking- unless it’s clean enough somehow, then with Paint Tool SAI, I go to the layer tab on the top and hit Luminance to Transparency and it’ll clean up all the white and I can color under it perfectly. c: I hear it is also possible to use a camera if you can manage a pretty neat picture!
It might start a little rough (I know I was super bad with trying anything digital when I started, aha...) but of course the best thing to do is experiment a bit with digital tools and see what works best for you~! I’m sure you’ll get the hang of it!

I feel like this is a bit random but all of a sudden i saw the contest and opened a picture of sam and neil and died. It reminded me of the fanfiction you had started writing and it lead me to your blog. Such memories... You never finished it... Oh well...
Oh shoot, I remember that now! I’m so mad at myself, I started that exactly because I had a feeling I’d stop drawing things eventually and it’d be easier to write it and now here I am, both of them incomplete...
Aha, it’s years late, but maybe I’ll pick it up again if I can keep remembering it exists. :’)
I didn’t foresee how having this be a sideblog might have been a bad idea (especially that my main is super cluttered and hard to keep up with things in), so I made a main one now under oaktreetownsfinest to follow other SoS character blogs and, well, HM/SOS blogs in general and not end up missing everything!
I’ll still be using this as the main place to post art while the other one gives me a bit more freedom and the ability to send other people asks without it being totally left field or on anonymous. c:

This I wasn’t expecting- heck, I didn’t even expect it to break 100, so I want to say thank you! I wanted to give away something, but not sure what :’) Maybe I can draw 2 farmers or favorites, depending on what the asker wants, and hrn... I’ve gotten badly held back in the game so I don’t have much in the way of 5* seeds if anyone finds them helpful (I only have muscat, orange and tea leaves at 5, some trailing close at 4/4.5), and the only other mildly helpful thing I can do is make clothes that requires +materials.
If anyone’s interested in any of these, let me know and maybe I can get something started c':
Your picture of your farmer wearing a kamil shirt reminds me of my last relationship when my boyfriend wore a t shirt with my name on it around school (( it sounds cheesy as hell written down but it was cute back in high school-))
Ahaha, I enjoy the cheesier things in life so it sounds pretty adorable, especially at high school age! If anything, maybe a bit embarrassing for a bashful person, but seems like you got a good memory out of it, so that’s good! Thanks for sharing! c:
