Happy Upcoming PRIDE LGTQ+
With the month of acceptance and love coming up so soon, I thought it’d be fitting to talk about a related issue I’ve been facing in my community recently: Erasure.
It pains me to say this, but we have a lot of people in our communities who don’t acknowledge The Trans community as part of the LGTQ+ Community! How can we claim to be a community built on acceptance on love when we are excluding a part of our group! We are the LGTQ+ community; All are welcome here! We are the Lesbians, the Gays, the Transgenders, the Gender neutrals, and the Enbies! There are four letters there for a reason. Trans is an integral part of the community. I mean, even when transitioned, they were gay at some point! Think about it, if they are straight now, then they were gay before, and vise versa. You are either homosexual or heterosexual, and they are definitely homosexual! You can’t just alienate trans because you don’t understand what they’re facing! It’s not like it’s an unheard of concept. I mean, it’s just wanting to be a different gender than you are. It’s not like they are claiming to like both genders, or like they are saying they aren’t human, or identify as attack helicopters or something. They aren’t going by they/them, so I don’t get what’s so hard about accepting them! Why can’t we just accept that they are like us and deserve their spot?
Join me this PRIDE month in getting acceptance and love out to all of the members of the LesbianGayTransgenderQueer community!
No queers get left behind. (Unless you claim to not be homosexual then obviously you aren’t part of this, I mean come one, queer has always meant gay and nothing else.)
Live, Laugh, Love.

Sock
