Have been tuning in here and there to Homeland, a show my husband and I used to watch together (it's very interesting.) I heard this ☝️ today. And I thought, "OMG, yes." ••••••• We often hold people to impossible standards. We hold ourselves to these standards, as well. But none of us came with a manual. And so really, the best we can hope for, the most we can expect, is someone that is heading in the right direction. Honestly, I've never met a single perfect person; not even remotely close. I cringe when I consider the tally of my own mistakes. BUT, from what I can tell, mistakes are completely unavoidable. Rather, it's what we do with them. Can we admit them, learn from them? That's the measure. Yes behind closed doors things happen. We do know he loved his grandmother and during a dark time was taken in by her so there are childhood things we are not aware of and Zak doesn’t talk about. I almost lean towards what Ashley stated was that she didn’t want anything serious but he was demanding she be monogamous. I think he tries to control a lot of things because most of his life is out of control.
