You rejected your little mirror with a push,

If I see you there’s nothing for me to say,

But you have many explanations to give.

Don’t start with a sorry in return of sympathy,

I’ll shut my heart up before Oceans start pouring.

Sympathy lived long ago, meaning time is up,

Time perished away at your side.

Just walk away because your good at that,

so let’s just leave it all, at that.

If forgiveness is given to you, no promises,

You will just be mentioned by your first name.

Too bad I can’t give you your blood back,

Because my last name has no love, it lacks

After many years of disappearance goodbye,

You were just the person that created me.

This is all on a real level I’m serious,

To those who don’t have a father this Father’s Day, I see you.

To those who are spending this Father’s Day father-less (maybe for the first time or the tenth time or the twentieth time), I see you and am so sorry you have to watch everyone else post how happy they are with their fathers while you no longer have that. 

There’s no shame in turning off your social media for the day. No shame in  mourning your loved ones on what should be a happy day. 

But please remember the happy memories of your fathers ^.^ That’s what I’m sure they’d want.

Today should be a day to honor all of those fathers, either biological or not, men or women, dead or alive.

If you’re one of those who has a complicated order: Father Edition, you may feel some angst today. I am one of those. And that’s okay. Today can be for someone else, for no one, or for yourself. While it is a special day for a lot, it can also just be a day.
