When he's chewing on his fingers/thumb in one spot constantly, fussy at times he's usually not, and waking up more to just comfort suck, that's teething, right?  Joy!  I don't see any evidence on the gums yet, but I think I've read that you often don't see it when it is hurting them most.  Poor Milio man! 

I bought Elizabeth Pantley's No Cry Sleep Solution last week and am mostly done reading it.  She offers great insight and advice and I'm looking forward, mostly, to getting started.  He definitely needs to be sleeping more, and I do too.  It is going to take some work though, on my part, and the lazy tired part of me just wants to let it be.  But, as she reminds you constantly throughout the book, it doesn't take as long as just letting it be does to get them sleeping!  She has you start by charting one days naps, pre-bed routine and sleep.  Last night was probably the worst yet.  He was up constantly, as a result of teething I'm going to guess, and my scribbles in the middle of the night or illegible.  So tonight, I'm going to try again, and it means being a little bit more awake.  Two cups of coffee in the morning!  I'm just grateful she's taken the time to put this book out there and allowed parents to have an option to CIO being the way to break sleep associations. 

Lastly, every time Emilio gets a cold, I get one.  Good times!  Now it seems like I may have passed mine back to him, or it is just teething related.  Guess what he really doesn't like when he's already fussy from tooth pain?  Me picking his nose.
