Oh fun! I won’t do all of my ships but I’ll do a few 

Stelena: Dinner Scene 

Followers know the story well: 

I didn’t really care for Stelena before that point because I didn’t care for Paul because he was this ridiculous, ridiculous bad boy in The O.C. named Donnie for, like, an episode and every time I saw him I kept hearing, “he’s mad-dogging me!” and I couldn’t keep it together because it was awful so I didn’t take him seriously as Stefan. And then I was watching 1x05 and I was on the phone with my friend while watching it because we’re dorks and it was also when I didn’t even to watch TVD because I thought it was too similar to Twilight but she kept forcing me to watch it every Thursday. And, like, throughout the episode I was getting more invested in Stefan and in Stelena but I wasn’t quite there yet and my friend at the time was all about Damon so she kept yapping “What about Damon in the cellar?” And I was just like “Yeah, that sucks but like … Stelena … they’re kind of cute … right?” And I kept getting irritated when there were obstacles driving a wedge between them and then Stefan surprises Elena by cooking dinner in her kitchen and I have a really big thing for men who can cook so I was like, “OK so I’m kind of in love with Stefan” and the ghost of Donnie had evaporated. 

And the reason why this simple moment got me to ship Stelena more than the previous kiss and the cute shirt mishap is because there is just something so genuine about their laughter here, like there’s that cute awkward getting-to-know-each-other nervousness but also a sense of genuinely enjoying one another’s company and falling for the person even more after learning their quirks and embarrassing secrets and the way Stefan looks at Elena, that gaze like, “I could absolutely fall in love with you” it just rings as so honest to me.

And Elena is just so giddy and it makes me giddy in return, like it feels like they’re just so happy to be in each other’s company and I’ve shipped them ever since.

Isak and Even: 3x01

I put the entire episode because it’s just every scene in that episode I was like oh, shit, they’re going to ruin my life, I can tell. 

Michael and Ash: Dance + First Kiss 

Because it was super adorable. Ash and Michael had had scenes previous to this that I liked but this episode was one where time was on a constant loop so she had different interactions with Ash and with each interaction she realized more and more that they had feelings for each other so in this interaction those feelings are realized (even though neither of them will remember what happened since their memory gets reset with each do over) and it was really cute how awkward and intimate they were, great chemistry.

Oz and Willow: Willow Kissage

I had been rooting for Oz and Willow to get together since Oz first notices her but I don’t think I really, really shipped them until this scene because it was super honest and super sweet and I was just like, so I need an Oz.

Bonkai: White Noise

Because I just watched it like 

and remember being like but actually, is there supposed to be eye sex, though?

Nick and June: Hallway Kiss

Well the thing about Nick and June is that there was tension and chemistry since Day One of the show so I was always intrigued by that but I don’t think I was like I WILL GO DOWN WITH THIS SHIP until the hallway kiss in 1x06.

Noah and Rosalee: First Introduction + Gaze

Literally when we’re first introduced to them and they have their gazes I was like, OK I ship them. Jurnee and Aldis had an interview about their gazes actually, saying how important stares are to Noah and Rosalee because they don’t talk much at first, everything is communicated in how they look at each other and I could feel that from the first time they did look at each other.

Brooke and Lucas: “Have a Nice Summer”

That scene was what got me watching OTH in the first place. I was flipping through channels and landed on this moment and I was like WHAT HAPPENED? I literally only watched OTH for Brucas.

Dan and Blair: Phone call + Movie

I remember commenting on YouTube somewhere “it looks like the show is going the Dan and Blair route, which is gross” and then this episode and this scene happened and I went on the promo for the episode after this one going, “I can’t believe I’m saying this but I want Dair and I want them now.” 

Stiles and Malia: I’d never leave without you 

So I didn’t watch Teen Wolf for a long time but I kept getting requests for Stydia videos, like lots and lots of requests over the span of four years so I finally decided to watch TW in the fourth season and saw this scene and was like this scene is kind of everything, he is so worried and the way she’s so matter-of-fact about how she’d never leave him is awesome! Then I decided to go back to season 1 and binge the entire show and I kept waiting for when I would be hit with the Stydia feels that everyone was saying I’d get and they never came and I was like but why is no one talking to me about Stalia?

Gallavich: I need to see you

Because this was when I realized that Mickey actually cared about Ian and that Gallavich was going to go somewhere.

Jon and Sansa: Second hand grab

I had been seeing chemistry between the two of them since the sixth season but it wasn’t until the above scene that I went on tumblr and was like SO IS ANYONE ELSE SEEING THIS? AM I CRAZY? BECAUSE???

Michaela and Asher: Sex scene

I was resistant to Micasher for a while because I liked the fact that in HTGAWM the core group weren’t sleeping with each other, it was the one time in a show when that wasn’t really happening and then we were doing this and I was just like, oh no, and their first sex scene I was just like ... WHY and then they almost do it again and don’t and I was like good then we find out they were having sex all summer and I was just like, I don’t see it though (in terms of their narrative) and I was warming up to them and then 3x06 happened and they admitted to liking each other and I saw that sex scene and I was just like oooooooooook, I get it.

Jake and Amy: Rabbi

I’ll stop here for now, other ships are ships where there weren’t moments where I was like oooooh, it kind of just happened? It’s usually kdramas since so many of them are built upon romances and are framed to make you fall for the leads (or second leads) immediately
