The Beast
In SoG, Bella's truck "The Beast" represents her relationship with her father.
He gives it to her at no cost but it's the best he can do. It doesn't run perfectly but it works fine for what it is.
As she gets closer to the Cullens she uses it less and less which causes it to completely break down. Coinciding with Charlie's change/death.
While Charlie is working to repair, Bella and Rosalie are ordering parts for the restore.
When its all over, the truck will be gleaming, perfectly restored inside and out and running as if it were brand new. Far stronger than before.
You think Bella and Emmett collect Pokemon cards?
Like Emmett has had them from the start. He loves those funky little creatures and he's SO EAGER when Bella joins their family because SHE'S EXACTLY THE RIGHT AGE. She HAS to get it.
And Bella is like 'oh that's cool' because she's aware of Pokemon but didn't realize it was so huge a thing. Emmett is SO excited about it though so she starts REALLY paying attention until she's genuinely like HOLY SHIT THESE FUNKY LITTLE DUDES ROCK.
And so Emmett actually starts deleting his saves on half the games [after moving his mons OFC] and Let's Play through them and she's just VIBING! She names all her mons after Cullens. Her Rivals are always named something like 'worm face' and Emmett show her how to make a deck.
The Bella Swap in my head has transformed into the Bellas meeting and I just keep seeing this:
Canon!Bella: I just don't relate to girls my age. They're all ranting about boys and shopping. I'm not like them.
SoG!Bella: This is definitely Hell.

SoG!Bella would look Renee straight in the eye and say "Don't make me choose between you and Carlisle because you're not going to win"
Renee isn't gonna see Bella move into her dorm is she? Like the more I try to see it the more I can't see her doing it.
She'll think "Bella will understand, it's the beginning of the school year so I'm' swamped! I can't go visit and do social things with my daughter."
Only Bella will have started to realize how much WORK goes into preparing for a school year by living with Carlisle as he preps. And while he's a PROFESSOR. Teaching is teaching, so if Renee puts THAT much into her job, then why didn't she put some of that focus into her daughter? It'll only confirm what Bella realized during her talk with Rosalie:
Renee only cares about Bella in relation to herself/what she can get from her.
I always feel like Bella/Carlisle never argue and are too saccharin so, for my own sanity, I'm listing all the all the things Bella/Carlisle have fought about in SoG:
Him not telling her about Jame's Coven being the 'animal attacks'
Her forgiving Jasper for nearly killing her
Them having sex before telling Charlie
Her not being good enough because she's human and young
Him being overprotective
What to replace her truck with when it dies
Carlisle getting a job teaching where she's going to college
Bella being Bait for the plan
