Last week, in Japan, I visited Hiroshima. This is the Atomic Bomb Dome, the last building survived to the power of the bomb, kept as it was to never forget what happened.

It was a really strong experience reading all the stories of the survivors and what they all went through, reading about the illnesses the radioactivity caused. It is unhuman, it’s unbeliavable that humans were able to think and create such a monstrous weapon. 

200.000 people lost their lives during the first year after the Hiroshima bomb. 

Thousands of people suffered from leuchemia and tumors and every other illness related to radioactivity for many years after. 

The exact number of all the victims of the bomb will never be known nor all the victim will be identified.
