So if Kai say has two kids, a boy and a girl (and somehow the reader can’t have anymore children) but the girl is the one that inherits his quirk while the boy is quirkless what would he do? Would he ever consider letting his daughter run the Yakuza knowing that she’s the only one that can succeed him since his son is weak? I mean it would be a huge disadvantage for him to have both his children weak and quirkless.
In this case, it’s not a matter of just Kai approving of a girl taking over, it’s also a matter of convincing the other members of the Hassaikai, as well as the other groups they deal with, that a woman is capable of leading them. And to a lot of these men, the boy (even if he is quirkless) is still the better option solely because of his gender.
There’s even the possibility that Kai will stick his daughter(s) with the quirk destroying drug as soon as they’re born and cut out the middle man altogether. He doesn’t know if they would have developed a quirk or not, but in his mind it doesn’t matter. This way at least, they can’t miss what they never had in the first place.
