Sgt. Bazooka from G.I. Joe

Just some G.I. Joe fan art for a change of pace. This is Sergeant David L. Katzenbogen, code name: Bazooka.

The idea here is that someone said Bazooka looked like he was getting fat and, being a show-don’t-tell kind of guy, this is how he proves them wrong.

Another G.I. Joe fan art piece. Mutt and Junkyard take advantage of a rare opportunity to get some rest while out on a mission.

I drew Junkyard awake because I like the idea that they just instinctively take turns sleeping whenever danger might be near. This way they are almost never both asleep at the same time and can always watch over each other.

The transformation of the Mangrell.

A new page from Stump #2 that I’ve been working on.  This is the very first known transformation of a human being into the Mangrell, which took place around 5,000 years ago in a country that is currently at the bottom of the ocean just off the east coast of North Korea.

I decided to make this sequence a little dark and scary, because you need to feel that the antagonists of any story should be taken seriously.  Especially with a main hero as powerful as Stump.  There is a reason that the entire second issue is devoted to Stump's encounter with the Mangrell.  Still, I did decide to go with abstracted colors just to dial the gruesomeness down a little bit.
