Ok I actually really love the depiction of Eve's weight gain. It absolutely can be someone's realistic experience. Many people, not just women, gain weight after graduating high school, especially college students. Pregnancy and termination can cause irreversible hormonal changes that can cause weight gain. Stress, which ofc she was, can also cause weight gain.
And this show does a surprisingly decent job of portraying different body types and Eve's body type would likely gain weight in a similar way to how its depicted in the show.
ALSO THE SCENE IN THE BED?? Ok body image tw on this one, theres a specific shame that is felt in an intimate moment like this that makes you feel the need to apologize for not having the "ideal" body or "not taking care of yourself" as Eve puts it. I think it was handled really well for being honestly kind of a touchy subject. I can just feel her wondering if mark is alive, if they're okay, when they'll be back. And in the darkest corner of her mind she has the selfish thought of will he still love me if i look like this? AGGHHH grrrrrrr This means so much to me. You can rip Atom Eve out of my cold dead hands.
I just don't understand the hate 😭 its the same thing that happened with deku's mom gaining weight after raising a child for 15 years, like DUH thats gonna happen >.>
Invincible is so incredibly well written but my favorite thing is how socially unaware Rudy is bc of course he would be, he was allergic to being alive he probably had zero human contact most of his life 😭
I haven't been annoying enough about invincible tbh. The animation is so beautiful this season and even the cinematography too. There's a lot of crash zooms and rotating shots, which isn't something you see in animation a lot. It's really cool, they add a lot of motion making it seem more complex and animated than it really is.
I want to try to gif some of my favorite sequences after the last episode comes out next week, we'll see
You can really tell Invincible had a better budget this season in the music they were able to get and the amount of action sequences. I love this so much
