I bought The two stars that fell from the sky event story and I thought I'd share my notes as a bit of a recap and to organize my thoughts into a few theories I have before the 3/4 Gaap update.
Spoilers for Gami's comic, a few main story tidbits post Ch 6, and ofc the event story The two stars that fell from the sky ✨
SO, blue Gamigin and his pink sibling (!) are born in a different dimension than the Heaven/Hell dimension. Im not too sure of the timeline but from the dialogue here, this has to be shortly before or shortly after God's disappearance. Lucifer is still an angel but is acting of his own accord by stopping Michael from killing the last two baby dragons. And Michael seems to speak as though God is still around.
Lucifer, after stopping Michael's eye laser from hitting the babies, opens a dimensional rift with just a flap of his wings and the dragons get sent to different dimensions. Sidenote, this is also how Michael loses his eye.
Gamigin gets sent to hell where [Gamigin] finds him.
And we do get a bit more context for [Gamigin] from the event story.
"His powers, his life, and even his name" and "his desires which I received in exchange for my life. I want to fulfill them." I think its very much implied that Gamigin has two souls inside him. Even in the main story Buer says something to the effect of "you wouldn't want to make Gamigin look bad". This feels important but it also feels like we're missing more context for all this.
Another thing to note is the line, "a dragon, who is a greater entity than himself, a noble". I know the translations have been very ...off in the recent stories BUT the earlier translations are more academic in the sense that they really try to emphasize certain sentence structures or implications. So here I really think they're trying to state that dragons are more powerful than the 72 nobles, maybe as powerful as the kings. However, [Gamigin] is very obviously dealing with some heavy sense of guilt. Maybe something/someone he wasn't able to protect or a harm he may have caused thru his actions. It's also possible this line could just be self-deprecating.
Next, the magic pearl staff also raises questions for me. It's implied that the pearls come from a dragon's stomach and a dragon has to die for someone to get a pearl. [Gamigin] has a pearl in his staff when he finds Gamigin. Its also implied in this story that Gami doesn't really know how to use the pearl or even what it really is, but Lucifer does know. There is the possibility that [Gamigin] may have indirectly caused the war between Heaven and the dragons by having this relic in Hell. Later in the main story Gami does know that the magic pearl grants wishes.
Also, the name thing. In the main story Gamigin is introduced as one of the 72 devils with whom Solomon had a contract with, but how?? If he likely wasn't even born yet when Solomon was in Hell. From the moment [Gamigin] started sending his life energy to Gami, he could hear [his] thoughts. Could something similar be happening in the Gaap story, where the original Gaap died at some point in the past and Lucifer chooses to give the new Gaap this name and everything attached to it, including powers, old memories, and Solomon's contract? Later on in this story, Gami says he recognizes Satan from [Gamigin]'s memories too.
Continuing with the Two Stars story, it's unclear how long Gami has been living in [Gamigin]'s life when Lucifer falls. He and Jjok nurse Luci back to health despite Luci being at first very hostile to their efforts, then as he warms up them still being very reluctant to let his walls down for them.
I do really enjoy how they characterize pride with these guys but I don't want to get too into that here as this post is already very long 😬
For two years Lucifer has been healing and getting close to Gami and Jjok and in this whole time he hasn't been able to touch the ground. His steps leave no footprints and his presence leaves no mark. This story does touch on Lucifer's suicidal ideation, which we also got a glimpse of in the idol event and his bloodshed card. But ultimately he believes that his life was granted by God. His choices, his pride, his fall, and love for the devils are all in God's will.
One day Satan shows up out of nowhere saying he knows there's an angel staying here. There is a moment where Gamigin explains he's a dragon but the only one who can "see" that is Satan, which was interesting. Something similar happened in the main story when Leviathan questions whether Gamigin is even a devil. I do wonder if Gamigin has a sort of glamour or is shapeshifting in some way. Because fun fact, his pink sibling is gonna be one of the leads in Ark Academy but he doesn't have horns and in his lil bio it says he takes on a human form and scales start to grow on his when he's upset. Anyways Jjok is the one to explain everything to Satan and begs him to take Gamigin and Lucifer into Gehenna. Satan honestly seems touched by this lol. So he asks Gamigin if he would be loyal to Gehenna as the one who is now named 'Gamigin', which I feel adds to my theory about the names.
Gamigin says no 😭 bc he thinks its unfair that the invitation only extended to him and not to Lucifer. Even tho Lucifer is the head of the seraphs and the angels caused a lot of harm (even killed all of the other dragons), Luci hasn't done anything wrong in the time he's been here. Its true he hasn't entirely rejected being an angel but he also hasn't embraced hell yet to the point he can't even touch the ground he's standing on. Gamigin then says he doesn't want to be affiliated with devils if they won't accept Lucifer. Satan calls him arrogant for rejecting him but he seems amused. I think this is the moment when Satan realized that Lucifer is the 7th king of hell. So he turns to Luci and asks point blank, "what are you doing here with a dragon and a small devil?"
Lucifer honestly has a bit of an existential crisis at this. He starts to feel shame for what the angels have done, for his lack of action in the past. He starts glowing white and I genuinely think he was wanting to self-destruct right then and there. But Gamigin's staff rings and he comes back to his senses. Unfortunately this glowing probably served as a beacon for Michael who is here now, uninvited.
So Satan and his 3 devils fight Michael's 10k angels while Michael comes down to Lucifer, who is stunned and staring blankly at everything going on. Jjok tries to interfere with his tiny self but Michael kills him, just shoots him dead with his laser right in front of Luci and Gamigin. Then Satan yells at Lucifer, "if he really meant something to you prove it." I love this line, and to me it really shows why Satan is the first king we meet. Pride is a very passive thing, you have pride for your family, your origins, your accomplishments. Pride can make you strong but wrath forces you to act. Wrath is what binds hell together to fight against the angel invasion, and in this moment wrath is what brings Lucifer to move for the first time since this whole ordeal started.
He goes to pick up Jjok's little body and the entire battle field goes silent as this happens. Michael tries to laser them again but Lucifer grabs the laser and shatters it. I really loved how they describe Lucifer finally setting foot on Hell's ground and leaving a scorching foot print as his horns grow over his head. All very biblical.
Then Lucifer ends this battle with two sentences that make all the angels die on command. He spares Michael tho and gives him the chance to leave, to which Michael just asks why he abandoned them. I can't add any more ss bc Im on mobile but Luci then gives a whole speech and ends with saying essentially, "you and your bothers have never had to work for anything in your lives. You would never understand the pride of reaching something at the edge of your limits (the way devils do)." But Michael doesn't stick around to hear all this. Lucifer declares this land to be Paradise Lost, and Satan says he'll tell the others that the 7th king of Hell reigns.
The epilogue is really funny too, it's Lucifer sharing this story with the other Paradise Lost devils and they're all listening so happily and intently while in the middle of a battle while the enemy angels are skewering them until they literally die ☠️☠️☠️ Then since they're all healers they just res themselves, Lucifer does one attack that kills all the enemies and they all go home. 😭
There's a few things I skipped over for brevity so I do still recommend reading this one in full. And if you buy the event you can unlock Gamigin's voice pack which honestly shows quite a bit more range to his personality <3 I've been thinking about this names theory for a while now. I think Lilith is also related to all this as she's the only one (besides God) who can create devil bodies to hold their souls/names. Im glad this next event might give more context for the main plot, gives me hope that the next chapter will be soooooooon.
Anyways take all this with a grain of salt, thanks for reading if you did :3
