Monday- presidents day. Tuesday- snow day. Wednesday- actually going to school. Thursday and friday- NJMEA convention. Literally, a one day work week. Super excited about the convention! Focusing a lot of my attention on technology, instrumental strategies, and bucket drumming.
Digging through the NJMEA clinics for February. SO excited. One of the teachers from my hometown district is doing a few sessions. Yay, putting our name on the map!
I'll be at every choral reading session...every Intercollegiate-assisted section, despite being bitter...not sure what else to do. Basically, if free stuff is involved, I'm there. Maybe the grad school clinic? Ooh, maybe "Everything You Want To Know About Color Guard."
Also, the last few years have had incredible performances Friday night--Dallas Brass two years ago, and the motherfucking Kings' Singers last year, oh my god. They have a military group this year, but you can't top the damn Kings' Singers. I think I might skip that tbh. Also, I have Fusion Saturday morning. :/
At least I don't have to worry about a hotel room this year, oh man.

In New Jersey. It feels nice to be in a home rather than a dorm, even if it isn't my own home. The moment I walked into this house, I got this very warm and cozy feeling. That's the kind of house I want when I settle down. This house screams adorable.
Random fact: I totally forgot to ask to iron my pants, so my pants are unbelievably wrinkled and I'm going to make an awful impression tomorrow. But maybe it won't be too bad...
I'm exhausted and I didn't even practice much today. I can't believe how quickly this weekend went.
So many mixed feelings.
