EPISODE 2 The Gilgit Revival Project
EPISODE 1 GAZA: Mayhem Resumes After Ceasefire
So, I enrolled into nixor about six months back. Six months back I had complete blind faith in the system, thinkibg, yeah, they'll handle everuthing for us. But recently with certain thibgs the dean has said, with thibgs generally happening in the school that are just-not-right, i've lost faith. Do the right thing bullshit.

an update finally
haven't updated in a really long time now (yes i'm a busy man, i have my commitments and other important stuff to do than blog yes yes)
and i know all of you secretly visited my blog everday to check whether i updated or not, either out of boredom or curiosity but whatever :D
let us discuss the importance of community service today, yes apparently I've decided to do something for the greater good finally *sniff* *sniff*, I couldn't do it before because i was too young before and my school never really gave a damn about the 'society', no all they cared was whether we get good grades. our pants are above our hip bone and we wear black shoes on regular days and white shoes when we have P.T
BUT ALL THAT has changed now, I'm in college now (jee haan beta barah hogaya hun) and there are alot of opportunities for community services over here so I decided to join this summer school organized by my college called âTaleem sub kay liyeâ i.e âEducation for everyoneâ. So what we basically do is teach children who canât afford to educate themselves for FREE and the school is run by college students only so its pretty cool.
I signed up for teaching and at my first day I was all formally dressed up ready to teach some kids some bodmas but when I arrived I found out that the management put me in âoperationsâ WHA? What is the meaning of this I wanted to teach :â(..anyways the âoperationsâ teamâs job is to manage the school and see if it is being run effectively, sounds like a really prestigious duty doesnât it?..NOT..what we basically do is run around the whole school running errands for people, providing rubber/sharpeners/pencils/pens/books for teachers, giving water and food to the children and TAKING THEM TO THE BATHROOM wohoo and I did all of that for 4 hours (still formally dressed ofcourse) and I took an hour long shower after I got home so you can imagine its pretty hectic to be part of the operations team BUT the 4 hour of labour work does pay off, HOW? Well the kids say âTHANK YOU sirâ to you when you take them to the washroom, or make them have a glass of water or give them pepsi or biscuits at that moment they just seem genuinely happy and you know it makes you realize how we despite learning proper education, having decent clothes and eating twice a day we still are ungrateful and we just want more of everything and these kids over here are perfectly happy playing football or cricket in the scorching heat, drinking a glass of pepsi, studying in class..that really makes you THINK MAYN K
Anyways my point is that its amazing how intelligent these kids are, we had a debating session between the kids (they are under 13) on television and one of them spoke a really mature point on how children these days waste their time on tv watching explicit content or violent movies while they could infact use that time to be productive. These kids have a lot of potential and if they were given proper education by the government then they would be just like me or you randomly blogging on tumblr right now, heck they might even become famous or something because one thing that these kids are good at is hard work. Even if at the end of the day they just come to school to play sports but they really want to be educated someone pass me the handkerchief please :|? Iâll probably blog a lot about this cause I AM A humanitarian now according to one of my friends hahah :p
