So after driving myself nuts trying to reproduce Mannimarco inĀ the character creator (which Iām not sure is actually possible btw), I decided to tryĀ pulling the models directly. How hard can it be right? š
The colors look ok, and I donāt think any of the meshes are broken, but thereās weird lines and blank spots in the textures, as you can see in the pics above. Also, Vanusās guild robes are weird. The mesh is for the player costume with the cape, but the texture is for the ones you see in-game. Somehow they set it up so the extra mesh doesnāt show and I have no idea how they did that. If anyone can point me to how to fix these, please do so.
Also: yeah thatās my guy in a dress lol. It was a good contrast color for the test run :D

Tutorial for ripping models for 3d printing - use his links.
blender - a free 3d editor for putting your models together
NinjaRipper - pulls assets straight from the loaded game. It DOES work with steam, just close the game window that opens and log in through steam like normal.
Wndows Texture Viewer - lets you open dds texture files in windows.

Though we now know that these beings were created to fill the void left by the Soul of the "Ultimate Gear" Justice upon her death, nonetheless they were born within the Backyard and wield powers bordering the unimaginable.
The first Valentine had no established consciousness, but soon learned to tap in to her own emotions, chaotic though they were. Ā Unfortuantely she lost her life all too soon in that struggle.
Subsequent Valentines have learned how to become something resembling human, but they may or may not be the next step in human evolution.
But the threat of Justice still looms... a forgotten Valentine by the name of Happy Chaos lurks in the shadows... what her intent is, and what she seeks are still a vast mystery.
Extract ninjaripperX.X.X.7z and navigate to either the x86 or x64 folder:
If the game youāre trying to rip from is 32-bit, use the x86 executable. If itās 64-bit use the x64 one.
Start NinjaRipper.exe
In this case Iāll be ripping from Mass Effect: Andromeda, which is a 64-bit game.
Click the [...] here and select the executable for the game youāre ripping from.
Change this to where you want all the models and textures to be ripped to.
Warning: depending on the game the output for each rip can be several gigs, so donāt pick a drive that has little space left.
This is where you may need to do some trial and error to get Ninja Ripper working.
This is the method of injecting Ninja Ripper into the game so it can, well, rip.
Start with āIntruder injectā, if that doesnāt work try the next one down.
For Mass Effect: Andromeda the D3D11 wrapper was the only thing that would work for me.
The D3DX wrappers work by putting a d3dx.dll file in gameās directory, this file is loaded automatically when the game is run.
This means you can rip from the game even if Ninja Ripper isnāt running.
You should delete this file when youāre done ripping.
Click the Settings button in the lower left, this is where you set the shortcut keys for ripping.
I use Ctrl+F10 to rip āAllā, which means models and textures. If you just want to rip textures, use that shortcut.
I'm not sure what āForcedā does.
Hit that āRunā button and hope it works
If the game runs, thatās a good start. If not, try changing the inject method.
It may take several seconds for the game to start, so wait a little while.
Intruder inject will not work if thereās a d3dx.dll file already, youāll have to delete it (it tells you this).
Go to the thing you want to rip in the game
In this example Iām ripping a characterās head model.
This program only rips models and textures that are āvisibleā, so you need whatever you want to rip to be in view and as close as possible, to get the highest resolution model/textures possible (LOD and whatnot).
Hit that rip button
If the game freezes, that usually means it worked.
After several seconds it should unfreeze.
What now?
Navigate to your output folder, there should now be a _NinjaRipper folder.
Inside that there should be another folder with a name like ā2017.03.30_22.13.09_GameName.exe_238ā³, this should have a bunch of .rip and .dds files in it.
Converting the .rip files with Noesis
Assuming everything worked and you now have a bunch of .rip files, youāll need to convert them to something usable by Blender or whatever 3D software youāre using.
Extract Noesis if you havenāt already (linkās at the top).
Noesis canāt open .rip files by default, but Ninja Ripper comes with a plugin for Noesis.
Copy fmt_ninjaripper_rip.py from the Ninja Ripper folder to the plugins/python folder in the Noesis folder, as shown:
Run Noesis
Find the folder with all the .rip and .dds files in the left panel. When you select it they should pop up in the middle panel.
This is where it gets tedious
As far as I know thereās no easy way to do this, you just have to literally go through them one by one.
However, youāll eventually figure out that certain things are certain sizes, assuming you have a basic understanding of file sizes.
In this case Iām looking for a head model. Thereās no way itās going to be 1KB, so those can be ruled out immediately.
In the case of Mass Effect: Andromeda, it turns out the head models are usually between 600KB-800KB.
This time I got lucky and it was one of the first models.
Once you find a model youāre interested in, click File > Export and export it. You may need to experiment with settings to get the correct output.
For Mass Effect: Andromeda Flip UVās is necessary, otherwise youāll have to do it manually for the textures to work.
What about textures?
Same idea: use an image viewer (I use IrfanView with DDS plugin) to go through the .dds textures to find the ones youāre looking for.
Import the output into your 3d software and have fun!
Unfortunately some games donāt play nicely with Ninja Ripper, and the rips are broken or deformed, like in this case.
Said to be an Artificial Space created by Asuka R. Kreutz within the harsh Soul-crushing information dimension known as the Backyard that governs this reality.
The Cube supposedly holds the ākeyā to both Gears and Humans alike. Ā And it appears to also be linked to Sol Badguyās Gear Cells and body.
What sort of mystery does this object hold? Ā And will it play a role in the future?

You wouldnāt know in a Million Years what game these Textures were from if you didnāt know that I posted them (GG2 Overture in case youāre wondering).
More rips via Ninja Ripper.
The third Pic is a deconstruction of theĀ ācodeā written in Greek Symbol Font in Valentineās Magic Seal.Ā Itās actually kinda neat and mysterious.
Last pic is... of course, the infamous Sol Badguy Wanted Poster texture!
so I have ninja ripper and Iām trying to extract a texture but whenever I assign a a certain F1 or F10 key the keys are still popping up whats already assigned Ā to the windows function I hope this made senseĀ
