“So, I heard Christy is back in town. You seen her yet?” he asked, trying to be casual like it wasn’t a big deal. While he didn’t want to force Niko into talking about it if he didn’t want to, Alex couldn’t deny that he was curious to know what the situation is. Not to mention that now Cass and Niko were dating, and he had no idea how that would affect things between them.

Mark’s not sure what the rest of the men gathered around the flower are doing. The wave of scents off the flower- sudden and unexpected, have him feeling a little dazed, and he can’t quite drag his eyes away from the one’s he’d lined in blue just a few hours before. He knows this feeling- knows what happened last time he had it and looked away. So instead he washes down the wave of pain and fear and nudges his way to the son of the sea. Heart in his throat, he loops his fingers through Niko’s and tugs him away from the crowd with more force that usual, looking for somewhere he can breathe. “Sorry, I just- can we get out of here? Talk maybe?” He thinks he should be stuttering more, he’s usually a mess about these things, but there’s a warmth in his veins, a comfort circulating from his hand. He’s not sure what he wants to say, what he wants to hear in return. Maybe things will be simple for once and they can just have a good time without expectations.
