I’ve been having anxiety attacks for 4 days now. Right after Thanksgiving dinner, I got a call from home that something is wrong with one of my kiddos. Nikkipup. Vomiting. Bloated belly. Groaning when belly is touched. Estrus. It all added up to pyometra, which requires emergency surgery. Thank you @r.kriselda for helping me coordinate the Grab and Vet. Thank you @mariandgsanmiguel for meeting my staff there and assisting them. Surgery was successful but according to the vet, Nikki was lethargic and refused to eat and preferred to lie around all day. I asked the vet if we could visit and bring her chimken. 4 anxiety-riddled days were broken by this beautiful tail wag….and this video of Nikki standing up, and actually attempting to devour the chimken schlop that was brought to her. Thank you, Lord.
