10 Questions Every Fic Writer Secretly Wants to be Asked: 2, 4, & 10 about "All Alright".
2. Which scene was your favorite to write in “All Alright”?
Oh man, that’s a tough one because there are several that were just such great emotional payoffs for me to write. I loved writing the scene where Steve reads the letter, because there’s just so much emotion there all at once. I cried while I was writing it, and it still makes me tear up to go back and read it, but I love it.
I also really enjoyed writing the scene where they find Danny. Because it was so much fun. Steve’s bewilderment followed by his sheer joy…that was so satisfying to write. And the first night Danny was home from the hospital, too. The conversation between Steve and Danny, and then the shaving scene…yeah. Those were fun.
4. If you could change anything in “All Alright”, what would it be?
Hm…if I went through it again, I’m sure I’d change some words and phrasing, because my writing has improved. But other than that, I can’t think of anything. I love this story!
10. What are some facts readers may not know about “All Alright”?
That there is an entire sequel in my head that I would love to write some day where Donner escapes from Halawa. Maybe one day….
