Rereading a great book on leadership with some Duke Ellington & Coltrane in the background. The best books to learn about leadership are reading about famous generals and warfare. Though Cyrus the Great came from a family that was royal he had some great views on leadership. "I say that a true leader shuns luxury and ease. Once in power, he should want to work harder than ever." The great, realistic conclusions that he came to in this book came from properly using the resources around him. As his uncle Cambyses said, "remember the lessons of history." The best quote however is when Cyrus said, "Truly, men must often fail to understand their own weaknesses...and their lack of knowledge can bring terrible disasters down their own heads." Definitely a recommendation from me. #vscocam #NighttableChronicles #books #bookofthenight #readmorelearnmore #Cratusimage
