Iâve seen on your blog that you have done shadow work - I have been trying to do some myself with my tarot but I keep doing spreads and questions but I get nothing.... from what I see other people post it can be heartbreaking and painful and show you hidden things you are not aware of... I feel like I am not getting anywhere close to that and was wondering if you had any tips or suggestions. Thank you for your time :)
Yes! Start and continue being simple. âWhat do you mean by that afro?â There is this one question when dealing with tarot cards or just cards in general that I think is the most effective way of getting to know your shadow.
When get to know someone you usually ask them things to get to know their personality. Do the same thing with your shadow except youâll do it in one question. âWho is my shadow today.â Of course, tweak the question to your liking, but if you're not getting much dealing with your shadow, you just may need to connect with it a little bit more. When couples try to reconnect, they pretend to meet each other for the first time and contine doing that until theyâre more comfotable with each other again. Do the same thing with your shadow every day or every new moon. However, you do things. That way youâll be opening the door for a conversation and connnection to start with that other side,
On top of that, you can also ask âBased off the last card, what can I do to work with my shadow?â This way, youâre not left with feeling like you have this âopposingâ side to you that you now know the personality of but donât know what to do with it. You can start working with your shadow little by little.
The more you work on the first question or the 2 questions together, the more your shadow will open up to you. You might not get connected immediately, but your shadow self will being to see your perseverance. And eventually youâll be able to dive a little bit deeper into the practice and tap into deeper topics with your shadow self.
