that's interesting, you think christians are in support of secular xmas celebrations because at least it's CLOSER to what they want?
Sorry, I maybe didnât phrase that well - I think that the Christians involved in pushing this whole âkeep the Christ in Christmasâ thing want other, uninvolved people to believe that Christmas has already been secularised, because otherwise theyâd have no reason to be making a fuss. And I think that trying to rebut that argument with âChristmas hasnât always been Christianâ isnât helpful because it does kind of further that argument, rather than refuting it. zersk replied to your post âIâm not super sold on arguments about the whole âkeep the âChristâ in...â
people who celebrate "secular" christmas still tend to be super indignant when you say you dont celebrate it and i hate it lmaoooo
ugh I know right? it is ridiculous and frustrating (and! not! secular! argh!).

omg the towels... I would have just been like "there are towels in the closet" and let you decide what to use them for lol
honestly while i played coy internally i was super grateful that she was direct and fully aware of the possibility instead of being cryptic about the towels like i wouldâve too lmaoÂ
@nightbulbs Iâm sure youâre being a good student in your own way! Sometimes you have no other choice than to just focus on passing, and I think thatâs no less admirable than getting a perfect report card.Â
Perhaps part of my frustration about the fact that theyâre not attending any classes can explained by my own history, knowing what itâs like to want to attend classes, but to be unable to. While their reason for not attending classes is their âget through life with minimal effortâ policy... The last thing I want to do is to make it seem like everyone has to push themselves beyond their own boundaries. But in my friendsâ case, who have been privileged in so many ways (financially, intellectually, physically,...), it just feels like theyâre throwing away an opportunity others would love to have, and undermining our friendship at the same time.

Same, it would take me some time to save up to even get something like a one-way plane ticket, and even something like driving to the next state gives me some anxiety because I feel like I shouldnât spend the money or put the wear and tear on my car
right!!! I mean I ~technically~ have the money to Go On A Trip of some sort, but I canât help but feel like itâs ~not the wisest way to spend my money~? Like, I donât have a car, or my own place, and I donât have an actual full time job (I have three jobs but despite paying well, they are all hella part time) and idk I guess I am feeling like I donât âdeseerrrrveâ to spend my money on anything non-essential.Â
But also, if NOT having frequent access to quiet, natural environments is taking such a negative tole on my happiness/mental health, then maybe I should be considering it to be essential to my well being?Â
nightbulbs replied to your post: also: miss me with that ~women are catty~...
I mean I have had some experiences with âcattyâ girls/teens but who do you think teaches them to act that way
well obviously catty girls exist but thatâs because catty girls exist, and not because ~girls are catty~
nightbulbs replied to your post: i feel attacked every time i see/hear someone...

ahem stop #attacking me
