Originally this scene was going to include Niffty, Larry, and Lucy too, but after several scrapped scripts, I finally just started with a conversation between just Baxter and Crymini. And it flowed so naturally I really didn’t want to water the scene down with any other characters. Plus it felt like a good way to bring their friendship full circle from everything they’d been through during the Marked arc. I’m very happy with it! Next update will be the last part of the Guess Who’s Comin’ Over mini-arc (which makes it longer than the comic’s first “full” arc Shadow Day). Originally I wanted to touch more on the development of Niffty and Larry’s relationship and Baxter’s people skills, but frankly it felt too rushed, and I’d rather flesh out both steadily as the comic continues. At the very least I planted seeds for both this arc, and I wouldn’t rewrite the script for the final scene of this arc for anything in the world (it’s been written up since the start of the arc). Very excited to give you all the conclusion to this arc next update! ^w^

SORRY FOR THE WAIT! Still working on balancing my new schedule. Things are getting closer. I got a lot of scripts written during the delay at least, but I’m still working on juggling my off days to draw comics. Glad I’m finally getting to show some of these characters interacting too. It’s weird thinking about how many of the main characters up until now were completely separated to each others’ existence. Crymini seems like she’s fitting in well among the murderers. The end is near! Feel like this arc has been going on forever. There should be only seven parts left now (not counting potential bonus comics). That’s the plan at least. Cherri and Baris in particular have a tendency to create more scenes. Their dialogue is so easy to write, they tend to write themselves. Originally I was really dreading this scene since it was so dialogue heavy. I thought it would be really boring to draw, but these actually turned out to be some of my favorite Crymini close-ups and group-shots I’ve drawn in a while. I do feel like I kinda cheated some readers out of Alastor this week since he doesn’t make a physical appearance, but don’t worry he’ll get plenty of screen time toward the end of this arc! ^w^

Made a very minor retcon to the kitchen design. Really didn’t like how the dials on the stove were above the burners instead of below them. Especially considering how short Niffty is. So the stoves have been redesigned for Niffty’s safety. On that note really glad I’m finally able to expand more on Niffty’s character in this arc! ^w^
