so to yap a bit these are my two bbgs he and hong (no last names yet bc thats difficult 🫶)

hong is my lovely mc,, shes basically a retired martial god (though her retirement technically wasnt by choice) and has spent the past few centuries in the realm of the gods.

while she originally ascended due to her capabilities in war she was not popular due to her being a woman. since she was a martial god men felt like they were above praying to a woman for smth they considered to be a man’s job and women didnt pray to her bc she didnt provide typically feminine blessings. hong was only appreciated by women under the most unfortunate situations that prayed for her strength. yet due to this her tales werent well kept and within 200 years she was almost entirely forgotten, the few temples she had empty and historical records lost.

as a result she wasnt in a position to keep appearing in the mortal realm and almost permanently stayed in the heavens. there she became an accountant, partially out of shame and led a quiet life. her martial past forgotten eventually even in the heavens.

centuries after her retirement she gets sent to investigate something within the demon realm, her forgotten status as a god being the reason she was sent as well as the fact that she used to be a martial god. she accepts this and along with two companions (who at some point i will draw lmao) she goes to the demon realm

now i dont have too much to say abt him yet, i havent fully decided his fate yet but he is the semi antagonist to love interest of hong :3

without spoiling too much he is a demon lord that rules over what is basically the red light district of the demon realm.

he’s a recluse but respected. his people generally like him, mostly due to his very neutral position within the demon realm.

his second in command, a woman that runs the main ‘brothel’ of the district and is directly under he’s name, is however more popular and well known. their dynamic is basically charming front man and reclusive mastermind.
